Tune Your Chinese ATV Carb

All of these things are slightly different.. Some have an adjustable air/fuel mixture, some do not.. Some have springs keeping tension externally on the idle screw, some don't... This video should get you in the ball park.

Good video. Here's some info to supplement. There are 2 jets in these, an idle jet and a main jet/needle jet. If your mixture screw does nothing, then your idle jet is plugged and it's running on the main jet. When this happens your idle speed screw will also be extremely sensitive.
If it idles fine and the mixture screw works, but if you go near full throttle it loses power or even dies, then your idle jet is working but your main jet is plugged.
Both issues require taking the carburetor off and cleaning it.

Sometimes the air/fuel screw comes with a little plug covering it. If you use an 1/8” drill bit and very carefully and slowly drill into the Center of this plug, it will eventually catch and pop it out revealing the adjustment screw 👍

Nobody else on YouTube can explain how to tune a carb as well as you did. I'm glad I found your channel. I'm going to be a combustion engine wizard, now! LOL Thanks, man!

Thanks Mr. Fish 😁
I was going 1 1/2 turns.
They're definitely cheap but when running right they're fun and the kids love them.

Thanks to you I figured out my issue. The gas/air mixture set screw is snapped off. It came from the factory like this and I'm happy to have an answer. Thanks again.

Another way I do it is raise the rear wheels off of the ground and full throttle at the same time adjust air fuel mixture screw. Found that to work for me.

Very well explained! Hands off, and yes, those chinese carbs are a bit slower in throttle response than a keihin or mikuni. but still they do the job. witch at the end of the day, brings you smyles :) :)
