They don’t care about the world’s problems if it messes with their dinner plans.

When we 'can do something now' instead of pontificate about the government making the magic happen, the burden of response-ability is a delight for some and weighs heavily for others.

I've had 2 friends and unfortunately the death of my brother from cancer. When you explain that a plant based diet is healing and that meat is toxic, especially when it comes from factory farms, you're treated as though you're crazy. It's baffling!

This holds true so much! Looking at Hasan. Actually something I really liked about Some More News lated episode about food.

Even though the focus of the episode was about the purely pragmatic damage of animal agriculture, he kept mentioning how bad it was for the animals.

Nonvegan leftists: "We're going to change the system!"
Vegan leftists: "You can't even change what you have for breakfast, sit down!"

I really love Dr Melanie Joy’s approach about a vegan ally. We may not be able to stop people from eating meat, but if everyone could at least reduce consumption we could really make a difference!

As if right wingers are not radical in their views, banning books, etc., etc.

True. Very few will address animal agriculture. Eating animals is not just popular. Some regard it a sacred right.

Drives me bonkers as well. That's why I think we are absolutely done for. Even the people who passionately fight the fight keep their talking points on the fossil fuels..

People do not want to talk about having less or no children either to help the climate and animals

A lot of radicals are radicals as a fad. A group to belong to, and an outlet for their pent up frustrations and anger. My heart and soul bleeds for the true bleeding heart radicals that realize it's bigger than them. ❤️

How are you going to change the system when you can't even change what you eat for breakfast?

Meat might possibly be addictive in the same way coffee and cannabis is. It's very difficult even with the right intentions to quit a habit especially if it's an addiction. So maybe if people looked at it more like that than simply being dismissive of non vegans the end result might be better.
