How to play Dungeons & Dragons Solo - Episode 1 - Which Ruleset? is the first video in a D&D solo video series dedicated to exploring how to play Dungeons and Dragons solo (by yourself) using the Mentzer Basic D&D rules. In this episode I discuss why I have chosen the Frank Mentzer Basic DND rules published by TSR in 1983 for playing DND solo and the Solo Dungeon Adventures article written by Gary Gygax for the Strategic Review magazine published in spring of 1975.

You have chosen wisely. The Mentzer Box Sets are the best version of D&D

Ohhhh man I was wondering about this. I am a busy introvert. With work, house and family. My free time is usually about 30-45 minutes as I get ready for work before I leave. I'd love to play it alone.

I got into dnd about 10 years ago and before I had to move to a different state I had a group we were playing 3 days a week for 5 years and I have been in this new place for over a year and still can't seem to find anyone to come over and play so I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for me and for people going through the same kind of thing ❤️

Currently looking ip solo videoes right now as my mentality is, if you can figure out a way to play solo, you can figure out a way to play with just 2 players, and just 3, and so on. In my experience, the DMs in small groups have their own character in the party and those characters have an inherent advantage. So my goal is to find ways to keep the DM on their toes when it comes to the current quest as close to the players experience.

Yes, DMS guild does have an option to buy print on demand. But not for all titles. A heads up, at this time, owing to the current pandemic, they are extending print and delivery times. It has been over a month and my print copy of RC is not in my hands yet, but is on its way.

BECMI is actually NOT the final iteration of D&D—after the Rules Cyclopedia there were three more D&D boxes (the "New, Easy to Master D&D Game, " a boardgame-sized black box, and two versions of "the Classic D&D Game, " a normal box that was alternately brown or black, depending on the printing). The rules were quite similar to BECMI, changing only minor things (such as adding natural healing rules to the game). Great stuff, subscribed!

Tooks were mainly of Fallohide Hobbit stock, and had quite a reputation for unusual behavior (among other things - playing Dungeons & Dragons solo), a quality not valued in the Shire. For this they would be seen as less respectable, but those traits were "tolerated" thanks to their small numbers, gentle voices, s and good looks.
