Trailer of the most anticipated Ukrainian animated feature film MAVKA. THE FOREST SONG produced by Animagrad studio (FILM.UA Group).
The film is based on ancient Slavic myths and legends, and also inspired by a classic Ukrainian literature masterpiece “The Forest Song” by Lesya Ukrainka. It features a unique female character, Mavka – the Soul of the Forest and its Guardian.
MAVKA. THE FOREST SONG is set in a magical world filled with original characters. The trailer offers a sneak peek into some of the events of the animated feature and its amazing locations and characters: beautiful Mavka, talented musician Lukas, his uncle Leo, Mavka’s friends Swampy the Kittyfrog and grumpy forest noisekeeper Hush, ancient Forest Guardian – Lesh, mysterious water Nymph Ondine, as well as the main villain – the insidious and greedy Kylina accompanied by her minions.

This story (play) was written by the famous Ukrainian writer Lesya Ukrainka in 1911 . She wrote this masterpiece in just three weeks in Kutaisi in the Caucasus. Kutaisi (Caucasus). Lesya was very distressed about her father's country, and her illness again triggered it. The idea to create a " Forest song" was inspired by the memories of her childhood 💛💙

FINALLY AFTER YEARS OF WAITING, i was literally hooked on the first trailer.. although kinda disappointed that they changed her appearance i would still want to see this!!!

Although I liked Mavka more in the previous trailer 4 years ago, but I know that a good story changes much. The story and the charachters develope and it's a long journey from conception to the movie theaters.
I am hopeful as the trailer had great vibes.
The animation is beautiful, the forest is magical and the mountains is also very beautiful. The village inspired by easter eggs is beautiful and creative, it's amazing!
I don't know the music of the movie, or the plot (as it's not released yet) but I looked up the Mavka mythology, and I hope the creators really draw much from it.
As for the music I hope it will have at least one song(like 'The Stolen Princess'), but it would be best if it were a musical entirely.
Nevertheless I can't wait for it and I hope the wait was worth it. Respect Mavka! 💚

Thank you production team and the animation team and everyone involved in the making. This is a project I've been waiting for since the first teaser and I'm looking forward to watching this on the big screens. Thank you for not giving up on Mavka.

I watched it today in the Netherlands. Great, it was available in Ukrainian as well. Loved the movie! If it is in the cinema in your city, don't think twice, buy a ticket and enjoy it!

Дуже сподіваюсь що зможемо подивитись нарешті на великому екрані. Команда молодці! Це був важкий проект, але добро що його закінчили. І коли будете порівнювати цей мультик з діснеївськими проєеєктами, не забувайте що за бюджет який витратили на цей мульт, дісней витрачає лише на трейлер до своїх проектів. Ну і у нас була команда біля 70 людей, а дісней працює по 500+. Гарного перегляду)

Коли побачила вперше трейлер нової Мавки, то сильно засмутилася. Але подивившись на те, скільки сил та старань вкладено у цей проєкт, скільки людей працювало, я переосмислила.
