Expanding a little on why ROG1 is no.1. There is no other truck out there from major brands or cheap Chinese brands that offer this level of performance. 48mph out the box on 3s is crazy and that's speeds the ARRMA Grom range can only dream of! Rlaarlo have made a massive comeback after issues they previously had with some of their older models and shipping etc. Some channels reported durability issues and snapped driveshafts but lets remember no RC truck is made to be run at skateparks and any car that is will break at some point. Is a skatepark durability test (as seen on other channels) required to tell me this is an awesome truck? Absolutely not and since owning mine i have never replaced anything on it as i run at 'Normal' bashing locations such as those you see in my vids. Now some may say that's boring.. Look we all enjoy our toys differently. For the massive majority that dont run at skateparks especially BEGINNERS the ROG1 will tick every box just turn the power down a little!

If you are a beginner and want to run at skateparks get a HBX 16889 and i will be shocked if you do break it! Enjoy!

I've got the Mojave Grom and it is one tough SOB. I've battered it off of concrete walls and curves and hunks of concrete I didn't see in a grass field somewhere. Very short grass to be clear (is seriously does not like grass)
Outside of the handling on grass I love it. Hopefully some paddle wheels or something like that will help solve the grass issue cuz it's just too dense. You really need something that can kind of roll over the top of it instead of trying to dig through it at that scale.

I am a recent arrival to the rc hobby. My first was an hbx 16889a pro and i was not disappointed for 90 dollars.

My next purchase was a hbx 2997a and just yesterday I ordered an arrma granite 3s blx for 250.

Pretty happy with all of them. Havent broken anything on them yet. Even had the 16889a fully submerged in a creek and it just kept on going.

My almost 4 year old son is enjoying them too. Races me with his hopped up power wheels running on a drill battery.

One thing I would say is, get a 1/10+ if you can. Small cars can't drive in grass. I started with a 1/16 and quickly put it on the shelf to sit for a year. Then I got a 1/8 Kraton and I want to drive it all the time. 10208 is a good starter if you get it for the sale price of around $160

The Gladiator taking the top spot is unquestionable. Those trucks are SO good!

Great list on the top five… the bottom five I would change a few… but that’s what’s so great about this hobby… we might have different ideas of what’s the best RC’s but we will still go rip together, break our RC’s together and when we’re all done go grab a beer and laugh about how much wrenching we’re going to be doing in the next few days😂…

Was difficult, but I choose the Hypergo 14210 over the Raarlo ROG as my first RC because all the options in aftermarket spare parts, they are affordable and more upgradable, aluminium suspension arms, Wheels, and a really long etc..

Very good recommendation! I am exploring a new species of RC. How to make an RC that is completely suitable for beginners? What functions should it have? I think I have found 80% of the answers now. I have collected a lot of feedback through excellent videos like this one. I believe that 2025 will bring a new species of RC! We never stop learning and have been listening to everyone's suggestions. This year is our third year. I believe that 2025 will bring new surprises!

I think you may like the SCY 16102 pro. It’s similar to the HBX 1/16 but faster cheaper sometimes more durable…

I will put on the list also the Rlaarlo rog1 clone called Juisi 1/14: it has a 35a esc instead the 45a, but comes with 3x3s lipo and still costs less than the rog1

Haiboxing 2997a runs on 3s out of the box and it does 45mph out of the box. You need to import one to the UK you won't be disappointed

Great video brother but Rlaarlo has a better 1/14th brushless truck that been out for years now and it’s far better than the ROG1? I have all of the Rlaarlo trucks including the carbon fiber Terminator, the ROG1 Gladiator, the 1/14 brushless that comes with a 45a ESC a 2847 3200kv motor the truck runs on 3s and it comes with sway bars, oil filled shocks, fans on both the motors and the ESC, 4WD, it does from 47-50 mph and it has no driveshaft issues. For the life of me I cannot find a name or number for this truck even in the instruction manual it doesn’t say what the name of the truck is but it is brushless and I can visually see all the components are correct and it does fly by between 47-50 mph. In my opinion those 3 Rlaarlo’s should be in the top 3. From 4 down should be MJXs all the way and the Arrma Groms as like 9th and 10th. But, I don’t have a Team Corally so I can’t really call it the way you did but you did an awesome job with this countdown brother.👍👍👍💯💯💯💯

A Neo Fighter offers a lot of fun in driving and building it, while being very very affordable for a hobby RC. In my opinion it should be ranked higher than most here on the list. Especially considering their prices.
