The DJI Osmo Action 4 has been out for about a year now. In this video, I'll share my experience using it over the past year. I've had all the gopro cameras and had nothing but problems with overheating but since buying the action 4 I have not had one problem in a year of using, the action 4 is way better in every way

Just received my Osmo Act. 4 last Thursday. I simply love it. Wouldn't change it for any Go P.

I had the GoPro 9 and 11 and both had issues. Moved to DJI Action 4 and no problems so far. It is just so straightforward in usage, and the mic setup is a bonus. The low light is ability is pretty good in comparison to gopro, and the Action 4 doesn't blur as badly as the gopro when panning around or moving at speed. Pretty happy with it all round. Not sure how they can upgrade the next version of the camera but DJI upgrades are usually major unlike gopro who tweak their stuff then push it out with bugs intact. What we have with DJI is a collective of cameras, drones, mics, and accessories that just work together which is what we as vloggers or creators want.

I bought my DJI osmo action 4 cam four months ago and I'm really glad having gotten it.. Quality video and sound is amazing.

Exactly the same reason I left GoPro; GoPro was just too unreliable and I didn’t have the ability to re-shoot my tour rides.
So now I have a DJI Osmo Action in my chin mount and use the unreliable GoPro as a secondary camera on the handlebar.
Needless to say filming my most recent motorbike tour to Switzerland and Italy was a success, well done DJI!

I agree, the Action 4 has been the best action camera I have ever used. And the firmware updates that have added 10 bit color for normal video and DJI Wireless mic compatibility have been awesome. Great review Shawn, and thanks for sharing.

I have a different experience. My GoPro hero 12, in good light, has beautiful colors. I’m pretty lucky because I live in Los Angeles and we have mostly sunny days here. So I called my GoPro, “sunny”. It sucks in low light but on nice days, I’ve never seen the colors go off. Not once. The DJI is great, no doubt, but the GoPro gets a bad wrap.

I bought one, loved it, bought another and sold my GoPros and cancelled my GoPro subscription. These cameras *just work* unlike the GoPros that have let me down time and time again and I lost memories thanks to poor GoPro cameras.

Another excellent video. DJI have done a very good job integrating their wireless mic into both this and the Pocket 3. Makes great marketing sense. Remember when the Røde wireless setup was the go-to mic? Most people have forgotten. Almost every single creator worth anything has switched to either this or the Pocket 3 or both.

Thanks for this review and all your clips. I am looking for a good action camera to get out on rivers for tubing or kayaking. This helped me make the decision. Appreciated the comment on Mic2 as I have it and the receiver. I’ve pretty much standardized on DJI with the Air2S, Osmo Pocket3 and now looking to add the Action 4 for water staff. Always look forward to your new releases.
