So I just put the action 4 through a beating in Mexico. Hard sun, ocean waters, probably went down 2 meters. This little cam is a monster! It was shutting off when I stop recording but also gave me a 3 seconds to keep it on. Water proof, easy to use, a lot of features. Purchase was all last minute so I bought 2 64gb cards. Here’s my experience. Each did about 1 hr & 15 minutes. If you’re shooting at 30, 60 sometimes. Batteries are what they are, but a good hack is to charge them while in the camera. I didn’t time it but it seemed to charge faster than the 3 battery pod.

The app. Saved me with my limited space. I was able to connect to my phone and download the library. Format and start a new roll on one card. You can also batch delete clips on the A4.

You can plug in the DJI mic right into it to bake the audio. I tested out only raw and it sounds like you think it would.

All in all I’ve been working with DJI tools for less than a year and every product I have has helped my run and gun content.

As for the overheating I never experienced it and I pushed this thing. Maybe the auto shut off is the cause but it gives me an option to keep it on. Who knows, it’s $400 bucks. If you have a business you’ll be able to write it off!

3:50 Actually you don’t have to go to the menu to change the profiles. You can press the mode and the record button at the same time and cycle trough them that way.

Can you please share your thoughts on the action 2 and did dji abandon that form factor or will they release an update to it etc ? And pros and cons to it vs a mini 11 for example, both small cameras.

I need a cam for youtube, some cinematic outdoor shots, gym shots and a webcam . which on would be better osmo pocket 3 or osmo action 4 . I need an all round camera since i have the budget for only one cam

What SD card do you recommend for that stuff because they can get pretty toasty when recording 4k video?

The only differences I noticed were the number on the front and the fact the Action 4 overheats! Go with the Action 3, its a better camera.

It's the bitrates and codec and 10-bit D-Log recording for me!

NLG, GoPro is still better. Though the front touch screen is genius.

If you have the Action 3, don't burn your dollars for the Action 4.

It's not an upgrade at all. In fact it kills the whole "It won't overheat" part. Screw that new sensor, I want reliability. The Action 4 is $100 more than the 3 and isn't as reliable!

I use to love DJI and got all the new ones when they came out but after trying the insta360 x3 I fell in love with them and have two of them now and looking to get two of the insta360 x4’s now also
