Ever wondered what existed before the Big Bang? In "What Was Before the Big Bang?", we dive deep into the abyss of the universe's origins, exploring the edge of what science, philosophy, and cosmology can tell us about the very beginning. It's a question that has puzzled thinkers and scientists alike for centuries: if the Big Bang marks the explosive creation of everything we know, what, if anything, was there before?

This video isn't just a science lesson; it's an adventure that stretches the limits of our imagination. We'll explore various theories that attempt to answer this mind-bending question. From the possibility of a cyclic universe, endlessly expanding and contracting, to Stephen Hawking's revolutionary No-Boundary Proposal, suggesting a universe without a beginning as we understand it. We'll also delve into the fascinating concept of a multiverse, a cosmos filled with countless universes, each unique in its own right.

Featuring insights from leading physicists like Brian Greene and Paul Steinhardt, we peel back the layers of the cosmos to reveal a universe far more complex and interconnected than we ever imagined. Whether it's the intriguing idea of universes giving birth to each other or the enigmatic forces driving the universe's acceleration, we're covering it all.

So, grab your cosmic passport and join us on a journey to the very edge of knowledge and beyond. "What Was Before the Big Bang?" isn't just a question; it's a gateway to understanding our universe's past, present, and future. Let's explore the ultimate mystery together, and who knows? Maybe we'll find some answers—or even more questions—along the way.

When I think about the universe and how big it is my mind almost explodes.

One of the curent emerging theories is that that our univsere was in fact created from a singularity from another universe so the big bang was in fact a huge mass collapsing into a black hole. The reason we would never be able to cross into that universe is that you cannot cross the event horizon of a black hole in the other direction being that is the boundary to our universe. This would mean black holes forming in our universe would in fact be the creation of other universes. An interesting theory to say the least!

The truth in the room is they don't know, like a lot of things.

Did space was just pitch black in quiet emptiness?? If so, what is this Pitch black emptiness ? Where did it come from? My mind keep asking to go back and back its so hard to think of anything

So when we put two magnets together and they repel, is this how our universe operates, where we exist in the area between the two magnets?

So if gravity can also be repulsive, perhaps that indicates a necessary relationship between gravity and heavy objects. It sounds like gravity actually seeks out heavy objects to “link” to, but when no objects are close enough to each other to actually interact, it “zooms out” creating this universal expansion. There could also be an unknown connection between gravity and temperature. What happens to water when it freezes? It expands. As the universe continues to expand it also continues to cool. Just a thought.

And yes, I don’t know 💩 about gravity, but it’s fun to think about

The truth is they only have guesses which only create more questions. That's science.

i bet we'll discover in time that our universe is far older than we think it is .

In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth

"asking what happened before the big bang is meaningless, because time as we understand did not exist before the expansion"
That does not make the question meaningless

If I was a scientist this would drive me MAD.😮

If the universe does collapse in on itself, it seems there must be something outside the universe that creates a small amount of pressure so instead of the universe blowing apart, the momentum eventually stalls and it collapses in like a bubble bursting

Its incredible to think that everything we can touch, see and feel all came from this "unknown nothing" of a bang.

There were many "Big Bangs, " but they too distant for our current technology to detect...

To me BigBang is like a heart beating, means there were more BigBang before ours and there will be more

I imagined once that this universe is like a bubble, one of many, fully attached to each other, some expanding as other's contract, sharing both energy and matter.

Heres how I see it, Nothing cant make something, thats where u have to consider a higher being, just think about all the conditions that make it perfect for us to live on this planet

Very nice video and topic, thanks "Science Time"!
What happened before the fairy tale Big Bang? I will tell you the true story now...

At the very beginning there was a kind of UNIVERSE BUBBLE EXPLOSION (you can easily imagine this using a soap bubble diagram).
In these many different protective plasmas or bubbles, new (baby) universes emerged due to the INFLATION PERIOD (chemical reactions that we already know).
This process also perfectly explains the different expansion speeds in different zones of our cosmos. Back in the very beginning, there were smaller bubbles of different sizes that merged into bigger universe bubbles or pocket universes (larger pieces absorbed smaller ones). By the way, it's the same process with galaxies and star clusters...
So today, when we look into this gigantic space we call "our universe", we are actually looking into a huge MULTIVERSE or MEGAVERSE that has grown together over time. That's a really nice and realistic idea of the beginning of space and time, isn't it?

*If this has happened before* this big bang...and gravity did its job gathering all together again.

Scary thought & a infinite amount of times for this to occur.
