This beautiful Oberheim OB-Xa (8 voice, 120 programs, last version from 1982 with added EES MIDI kit) was completely dead when I bought it from the first owner. After a long period of troubleshooting and restoration the OB-Xa finally is alive. This video was recorded straight after finishing the restoration. The sounds you hear are made by me and are the only patches the instrument has for now. Please read the credits at the end of the video.

The first :45 seconds alone are worth hearing the rest and a thumbs up. Simultaneously making me thankful for my Matrix 1000 - and whetting my appetite to get this model! (Next best thing could be a Behringer emulator if it ever arrives.)

OK.. I'm up coding my VST synth plugin, watching OB-Xa videos.. confirmed synth nerd. That Oberheim sound..classic.

Great sounds....I have an Obxa....I’ve had it from new....in reasonable to good condition...but I’ve no room to use it! Sadly I think it must go. Your video makes me think is just gathering dust standing up in a the corner of my bedroom! Insanity!

Sounds AWESOME! my OBXa osunds sligjhtly different maybe mine is not in tune so well
