Please pray for me. My best friend of 14 years just virtually ended our friendship. He said he doesnt want to talk about religion anymore and that’s been the basis of our friendship for ages. He’s a protestant and when I converted last year it was hard on our friendship but he thought he could get through to me. It’s been a friendly debate for the last year in which ive dominated each exchange. What started as him trying to save me from the cult has turned into a realization that he can’t follow the bible and maintain his theology. So he’s chosen to ignore scripture and it’s made him hate reading it and discussing it with me now. He’s obviously in sore loser mode but i just dont know what to do about it besides pray. I’ve never once tried to get him to leave his church, nor have i used any offensive apologetics meaning im only defending our church not attacking his. It’s sad and i could really use some prayers. His name is Justin.

Now in my 60's and after tragedy struck, I've returned to the Catholic. Thank God Mama raised me Catholic!! Years of addictions that I couldn't shake have finally been broken. I tried everything to get the monkey off my back but the Rosary is what finally delivered me. I am also a researcher and never thought about the Catholic vs protestant controversy. I started studying Holy Scripture and reading about Church history and this shed light on the Catholic faith but also shed light on how the protestant reformation has screwed up our societies far more than the "elites", communism, fascism and the rest of the "isms". When guys like Martin Luther and Calvin came along and said that one is saved by faith alone, Christian charity tanked which doesn't say much about the "Christians" those guys attracted. However, the needy and destitute didn't disappear and eventually the state had to step up. Get it. The birth of welfare and socialism can be directly associated with the reformation. When Catholic Spain's king tried to keep up with his other European counter parts by instituting state welfare programs, it caused riots in the streets. The average blue collar saw this as state interference in religious affairs because the tenets of the Catholic faith is faith, hope and charity. This one example of fruits of protestants. Then the myriad of heresies that are taught from protestant pulpits are leading many right straight to hell.

I asked my priest at my local trad mass parish. He described it like this... the Church is a giant Arc (like noah's) and its heading to shore, the storms are getting worse and worse, protestant sects with real faith are like dingies tied off to the side... Jump on ship and gain the full support of all of the sacramental gifts Christ gave us.

This comment is crazy : "We do not know God, not even Jesus Christ"! Meanwhile Jesus himself tells us: “Whoever has seen me has seen God. Who knows me, knows God”. This is why we must learn a little more every day about Jesus-Christ. How ? by reading the Gospel, by praying to God, by going to the sacraments and by putting the Gospel into practice in our ordinary lives. And by practicing, Faith, Hope and Charity. But the most important is indeed the Charity (Saint Paul).

No salvation outside the church of Christ.
The church must wear His Name. (ACTS 4:12)
Catholic doctrine is a blind guide!

The Holy Church teaches us that Christianity is not a “religion of the scriptures”. But of the Word. Jesus preached not with notes or verses but through his Word. He is indeed the Word through whom all things were made (Book of Genesis). He is indeed the word become man and who lived among us, full of grace and truth (Gospel of John). Jesus is indeed the word of God and not “the scriptures of God”.

Right from scripture. Nobody can be saved unless it's by the church. And all these years I thought it was the blood of Jesus.

@14:16 Trent says "The communities that have sprung up from the protestant reformation. Those would be properly called, we dont actually call them churches because they dont have the sacraments of holy orders, they dont have apostolic succession. So we recognize them as denominations or ecclesial communities, communities from the reformation..."
This statement sounds like he's saying all protestant Christians are outside the church and thus has no salvation.

salvation is through Christ alone, not the adulterous roman catholic church
