My husband and I had this same question about VPNs when we lived in Germany and used them to watch netflix, etc. Good practical question.

I found Jimmy's take on the Netflix question underwhelming. In viewing something, nobody's OWNERSHIP in the proper sense of the word is infringed. Copyright is in a different moral category than ownership of actual things. If I have a chair and a guest sees it, then makes a copy of the chair for them to use, I have no right to ask money from them, even if I'd have "lost a sale" in the event in which the guest wanted a chair that looked like mine so badly that if he were forcefully prevented from copying it by the state, he'd buy it from me.

So if Terms of Service are not binding on your conscience (which they're not) then go ahead and use a VPN for netflix.

The recent view that genesis 1-11 is a different genre than the rest of the book is really annoying to me. I haven’t seen anyone point out how they can back up this claim grammatically, historically, or traditionally.
