You can turn on x mirror in edit mode and it will automatically apply changes to the other side of the armature when you work on one side, so you don't have to use symmetrize :D You can also set pivot point to active element and then select the bone around which you want to rotate around last, so you don't have to snap cursor :D

Question to anybody willing to answer… so I rigged up my model using rigify. I have a few articles of clothing that are separate meshes and basically skin tight. The rig is only on the main body mesh of the character. How do I get the clothing to “stick” to it once I move it. Also the eyes and stuff don’t move.

Any answers are greatly appreciated!

Don't scale the meta rig... Scale the character instead. The armatures should be in a realistic scale, apply character scale after scaling. All characters and rigs should have scale set to 1 otherwise you introduce unnecessary mess.
