K24a2 head procedure

The final coclusion ,after the head is bolted into the block of the k24a4 accord.Once again be very careful in removing the harnesses and also the camshaft sensors on the exhaust and intake sides .On my set up it was the sensor from the exhaust side that broke off. That part i also had to cut of the old harness and reattach the used harness from a 2003 accord from the junk yard.My dad helped me rewire and attach the harness from the camshaft sensor. After doing this and also rewiring a better secure harness ,the oil solenoid we were able to drive and test the vehicle. And yes the car does activate both camshafts and i get a feel for real vtech ,performance vtech .Im super happy with my current set up.Also while being at the junk yard i came across the manifold plastic cover from the tsx ,so i grabbed it and bought it fairly cheap ,it was a great buy ... Besides me using the original valve cover to my accord ,i dont mind ,because i know that it has a real tsx head deep inside .Look at my other videos you will see the imprint on the head showing the rbb1 imprint ..Also Keep a look out for the vtc solenoid so that you wont have such hard times like i did ,when i changed my facoty k24a4 head and replaced it with the rbb1 head ....also have a fresh oil change and new filter prior to installing the other head .This vtech systems perform alot better with clean fresh motor oil and new filter .vtech is very delicate to dirty oil... Here i show you underhood to my accord dreamblock.
If I can do it again I'll definitely will. One last note make sure you do not have any leakage in your header, pipe if so you will have lost compression and your car will hesitate. So make sure you are good even the 02 upstream sensor should be new and genuine. If you can buy a new aftermarket header ,please do ,but dont drill a hole on it,or else you will have hesitation due to open leakage causing the 02 upstream header sensor to be thrown off via the ecm computer. All else bolts on securely even the raa, accord components. However, I recommend you aquire the tsx,rbb1 first generation, vtech solenoid, vtc oil solenoid and the cmp sensor on both sides to keep it all tsx.But if you are in a hurry ,4 all means plug n play with all accord ,like I did at first.Engine runs and there isn't any issues at all.No piston to valve mambo jambo myth nonsense...
Beleive me my set up runs smooth and fast.Shes happy I'm happy in reference to my 2004 accord coupe.

Let me clarify one thing the hesitation wasnt the vtc itself .it turns out it was the header that was split near the bflex pipe, that was the main issue .However the vtc does kill the car itself if its half way in half way out .., so make sure the wires from that plug are not fragile and that they are solid and sturdy ....Once again it was the header, the manzo header was split in half hanging that was the main issue..This set up is plug n play ..Also make sure that the mechanic isnt in a hurry and that this bonehead mechanic doesnt forget to apply 174 nm or 130 lbs of precision torque to the 19mm cranshaft bolt and do not forget the wulldruf key ....From my experience the accord puts out some serious power so bolts that arent secured to the given nutenmeter or precision torque, they will come off overtime ...Also as long as the cps are genuine in both the tsx and accrod by part number they will work perfect with either emission head or as you see this tsx head here in this video, because both the tsx and accord use the same camshaft position sensors one is label different on intake and exhaust but are same identical honda acura genuine part n number on both camshafts, so this a freebie im giving you the builder..i have lots more ive learn and obtained in this build ..i will share it freely ....
The other thing that came apart was the o2 temperature thats reads the temperature of the block near the exhaust camshaft position sensor, however that wasnt much of an issue like the vtc oil solenoid was...Also check to see that your head meets the honda, and acura specifications im sure its 3.84 so than you know if you have to resurface the warpage o remill the head but thats obvious because you can eyeball it, , or better yet measure it with a precise tape measure, , according to that measure, numbers to remember are
0.008
0.05
3.84, ,sorry i meant
3.94
In regard to either k24a4 or k24a2 vtech the same procedure ...thats why it worked on my set up .., beleive me ive already mastered this engines chassis ...so im giving you this info free.. so get to it and build your vtech head on your emission accord chassis .Enjoy life ...
Beleive it or not you have so many options so many heads vtech or non vtec ec ect ...but keep it simple use the tsx head on your accord it will benefit alot ....
The hidden gems of an emission accord not a full sulev but still an economy low emission chassis accord. Also this k24a4 is real vtech, so many folks thinks its not im talking about the stock head on the intake camshaft it has real vtech, ,however i prefer it on both camshafts so i chose the brother the tsx head .
