Honda K24A: Everything You Need to Know

That's what's so special about the K24. When modified correctly, it has more power per liter potentially naturally aspirated than nearly any other production engine on earth. It's not just a "good" four cylinder, it's literally the best four-cylinder in the world for naturally aspirated performance and one of the best engines in the world for forced induction performance.

The 500HP engine from 4 Piston is a 2.7 liter. Not quite 200HP per liter. But still not bad at 185HP per liter. They also sell a 2.4 liter street engine that produces 340HP per liter for 141HP per liter. Not bad for a street engine.

Great video, truck load of info, great flow, not too slow not too fast! No fluff, direct to the point.

Have to disagree with some of those statements. There a stock k24a2 putting out 600-800 whp. And the forged piston with stock sleeves part i disagree with too

I would like to see the difference between the J series and C series Honda V6 engines. And also whats the big difference between the F20C /F22C vs the K20 and K24.

Also the Honda F20C held the record for best power per liter ratio NA from the factory for years until the Ferrari 458 broke the record.

Where do I find the physical outside dimensions of the engine to see if it will fit in my engine bay?

Think you might be confused, sleeves are fine with forged pistons, sure you not thinking about the frm lined engines aka the H's and F2x's?

I have a 2005 Honda Element with the 2.4. I don't know a lot about engines so I wanted to ask a question. Does the vtec ever cut in? The one spec I looked at I could not find any RPM where it cuts in. It says it has 160 hp. I certainly don't need it in an Element. I have had the car since new and the motor is awesome as it is. Wouldn't the transmission have to be upgraded to handle big horsepower? Thanks

I'm swapping a k24a with Rob head into my rsx and not sure if I should put my little greddy turbo on it or not it will be my daily so I want it somewhat reliable but good power hoping for around 300 what do you think? Low psi or go for an na build?

How can you tell the difference between a jdm k24a eco vs k24a high performance just by looking at it externally?

If the K24 head were ported and Polished
/correctly/ would it flow as well as the K20 head

Iv always loved my old v6 saloons and fancied an accord 2.4 as a more reliable alternative and easier to maintain but being abit more special than a regular 4 cylinder, would i be right in thinking that ?
