We recently left a church, we had our small group discussion and I ask about the gift of the Holy Spirit, healings, miracles and such. Assistant pastor said “we will not talk about that” , it was the last time we set foot in the church. Thankfully we found one who preach and Love the Holy Spirit❤️

My husband and I were in a church where the founding pastor had gotten into adultery. He left the church and the elders brought in another man who was very talented musically and could speak very well and had great charisma.

We noticed that the teen leaders left the church and we didn’t know why. People were like a revolving door-coming and going-and we didn’t know why. The pastor preached constantly on not talking and not discussing anything with other members of the congregation. He preached on not touching God’s anointed, which was himself, of course.

The Lord started revealing things to my husband. Even though we did not know the first pastor, we met him through a God ordained appointment and he revealed to us that he had sinned and had repented, but the new pastor was ten times worse than he had been. My husband and I followed through on what he told us, and found out the 40-year-old new pastor had tried to seduce an older teen from another church who had visited our church to attend a concert with the teen group. Eventually it was revealed that he had gotten a woman on the praise team pregnant and she had his baby, and he was having an affair with another member of the praise team. Women intercessors in the church were picking up lustful spirits of the pastor, but didn’t know why.

My husband, a lady prayer warrior and I went before the board to reveal this information, but the board refused to do anything about it. The assistant pastor ended up leaving the church all together and not going to church anymore. He and his wife divorced. The man that headed up the church’s intercessors didn’t even want to attend the board meeting. He continued to stand by the pastor.

The board was under this pastor’s seducing spirits. They were yes men. We were excommunicated for causing division, because we took the information to the board like the book of Matthew says to do. We did this after confronting the pastor ourselves. We did not talk about this throughout the congregation.

We were more than ready to leave the church, and the excommunication was a blessing. I think the Lord had my husband, who has a prophetic anointing, at this church to be there to bring the charges because the Lord knew the board would do nothing. Because of prayers, the pastor left the church within a month, even though he said he would never leave.

God loved the people in that church and He didn’t want them sitting under this man. He ended up divorcing his wife, which we found out later was his fourth wife. He moved south, remarried, had another family and on his website never mentioned the children he left behind in our town. Now he has divorced the wife from the south.

We learned so much about what can go wrong in a church. We would go to church early, pray, ask the Lord to move. I discovered that Satan loves to be in charge of “the most successful church” in the city, so that people’s prayers, devotion, money and great effort can be expended at this church. How much more could be accomplished in a city, if these prayers, talents and money could be used in churches where the pastors are honorable!

However, while we were this church, we became acquainted with many great ministries and learned from the books sold in the book store. We were trained in prison ministry and later continued in prison ministry though another ministry for 19 years.

I was in a church for 5 years...all the red flags were in the church, my family was shund and our name smeared after we left. But God use it for his Glory!! And is healing our family through the word of God!

I love ❤️ the church! I remember when I first became a Christian I was a part of a pentecostal HS with signs church with twin sisters as pastors & one was a prophetess who would call people out of the congregation to the front to prophesy over & I was one of those people @ times! The prophecy always came true 🤷! I grew so much there during my baby christian days. How I miss it (Alabama)! Now that I'm older & widowed, & moved out of state, it seems so hard to find a church with the same Bible believing principals. I feel I'm always "church shopping!" ✝️🤷🕊️📖

OMGosh Thank you for talking about the prayer times!! I've felt sooo guilty and like God won't answer my prayer for more of Him because I can't get up at dawn or really early every day, as I work long hours and have health issues and I'm exhausted! I do have intimacy with Jesus but not regular times and often in the afternoon or evening or some days I just like to be with Him but it's not the same time every day! I like to think of Him throughout the day and turn my heart towards Him 💜💚💜
