Just make 2 diagonals🥱.. that will be much easier

No matter what angle you hold the tape measure at half way mark will be half way(only because both sides are straight). So instead of doing 1/8 or 1/4’s you can hold at an angle for a nice even number to mark(Ex. Holding at angle you can easily divide 10 in half so you would mark 5) then you could measure straight from side to side and they would be symmetric.

Or you can just measure divide by half and if you dont know how to divide most phones have calculator or if dont know how to use a measuring tape then probably you shoul not be working.

Also works to make it into 3rds, just move to a number that’s easily divided by 3, like 24, then make your mark at 8 and 16
