Fender vs Marshall? What would you use and why?

I had a young player in the studio. He has a well-kept Princeton from 1960, and a lovely vintage telecaster. I was blown away. But for really high-gain stuff, maybe not so much, but we weren't doing that. Loved it.

Nothing beats the sound of a cranked 100w Marshall

in comparisons, many amp brands (like say, orange, fender, vox, etc), marshalls always have the best sound to my ear. superb cleans, good on gain, just versatile as hell.

Dear Warren Thanks ever so much for all your hard work. Your videos are so entertaining and educational I look forward to everyone. The only problem I have is finding enough time to watch them them all. I hope you had a marvelous Christmas and I look forward to what you do next year for shizzle !!!!}!}}}

They had Fender amps at Stax and Motown. I want a Fender!

Fender vintage Silverface all the way, Vibrolux for guitar, ProReverb (the 'ultralinear' one) for Rhodes...

It's like saying screwdriver or hammer.
Both very useful tools and both right under different circumstances... although one's definitely more fun to use!

Fender Bassman was the core for the JTM45. Put a preamp/clean boost in front of mine and it was a delectable monster, lol. Had a Deluxe Blackface my Dad modified & it was thick, sweet or chimey clean. Best amp I ever owned. Still love my modded Marshall, though. Nothing delivers the knockout punch better! 😊

For basses, fender all the way gotta have a p bass or jazz bass and pick up a fender rumble 100 amp and crank it which has been my solution

I think it has something to do with more compression from the higher gain (Marshall) stuff. It’s more forgiving imo

Fender all the way except JCM900 for heavy

I saw a couple videos where they say Jimmy page didn’t really used Marshall in a lot of Led Zeppelin’s songs. I don’t know how true that is
