How do we know Raistlin didn't go back in time and learn from Magius? Just because it's not written doesn't mean it didn't happen

Thank you very much for all the information and the movie. I would like to know, in which book did Raistlin and Fistandantilus fight with the bloodstone?

After the events in Dragons of Fate I’d love to hear your thoughts.
I agree with you about the relative value of apprenticeship under Fistandantilus (master of the conclave, Archmage, Lich) being much higher than Magius (War Wizard).

I’m intrigued by the conclusion of DoF and look forward to hearing your theories about where Weis and Hickman go from here. Full reboot to a unique new timeline or restoration to classic DL standard continuity?

Not to mention that Raistlin also had the same desire, the same goal as Fistandantilus, to become a God. By going back and learning all that Fistandantilus knows and then studying in the still standing mages towers with all their books and knowledge he believed he could succeed where his enemy failed. As you've mentioned before, it was through his incredible willpower that he was able to achieve his goal and go to face the Queen. Magius would've likely been more feeling and self sacrificing in his methods and teachings where Fistandantilus showed Raistlin an attitude he would require to focus solely on his magic to achieve his goal above everything else.

It does seem like a... plot hole? Raistlin knows time can't be altered, and he also knows the history of the Age of the Despair. If everything had gone according to plan, he'd have pulled Tahkisis into the world and killed her hundreds of years before his own birth and the War and the Lance. That can't happen, because it didn't happen.

It seems even worse when viewed from the Fistandantilus side of things. We know that the Dark One used the Fortress of Zaman as his personal dwelling for close to a thousand years, and that the place was sealed up and unoccupied. Why fight the Dwarf Gate war at all? Why not just teleport straight there? I also seriously question the involvement of Denubis in the original timeline. He is presented to us as a man who is afraid of spiders and just wants to take his stomach ulcer medicine and go to bed. The guy doesn't even hesitate when Loralon comes and collects him. The only real dialogue we get from him is expressing his distrust and dislike for Fistandantilus. How do you convince a guy like that go on a wacky time-travel adventure, fight a genocidal war against dwarves, enter the ABYSS and try to murder the ultimate God of Evil? I'm asking. I really wanna know.

Raistlin had to fulfil the prophesy and to do that he had to defeat the greatest mage of the past. By absorbing Fistandantilus' life force he was made physical whole again. The reason Raistlin appears decrepit when we first meet him is shares his body with another entity.

I often wonder if Raistlin had protected Crysania and used her after Takhisis' defeat to create life, things might have gone differently.

Raistlin Majere is Gaston and Cameron Majere is the Beast

Gaston resurrected as Raistlin Majere and he was overly punished by empathetic people. Raistlin Majere tried to kill the Beast again even though they had the Beast as his brother. Raistlin Majere allowed Crysania to get close to him because she wanted him and he was rejecting too many females before by being rude. Crysania managed to walk away from him because she didn't want him that badly and he tried too many times to get her into bed.

The Beast ressurrected as Cameron Majere and he wanted everyone to believe that I wasn't that sensitive. He was going to make pretty slips for me to wear even though I was complaining about showing skin that had me upset because I needed to look better.

Raistlin Majere is still supported as proper so it would have been okay for me to wear more clothes around him when Cameron wanted a barmaid. The men may have moved further into the past for their issues.
