I love your outros. Also I started watching this video thinking that I would turn it off when it got boring, and it never did. Great video!

I never thought of the magic and dragon Lance is particularly fueled by love or hate or any other emotion. That's more like the mysticism of the fifth age. Wizards of high sorcery are straight up intelligent masters of a technical skill that grants their ability. Raist would no more lose his magic due to a change in his emotional state than Albert Einstein would lose his physics insight.

Great analysis of one of my all time favorite fantasy characters

So on point. ANd yes, Caramon's rather self centered universe seemed to be the source of a lot of deep sighs on my (and I imagine Tika's) part. But I love how you point out for a character that's seen as so closed off that he's really just in a lot of ways confused and doubting. I bet a lot of neurodivergent people related to him as well as those who just feel a little outcast/underappreciated.

Interesting perspective.
I disagree greatly with much of what you said.
You lost me at Camaron. He's no womanizer and he's not hedonistic at all.
Par-Salain was not evil when he let Cam see what his brother was capable of. He was letting Rast know what his biggest weakness is, AND he was letting Cam know what his brother was about.
All know what they are getting into when they take the test. The price to gain access to magic is your humility and sometimes even your life. Raistlin was no victim.
I can't remember, but the hour glass eyes curse could have been related to him being the Master of Past and Present, which was related to Fidistalnthus.

Of course, as you said Rast biggest problem was jealousy, and resentment.
The Archmage was Lawful Good as the highest order of the white robes. So he's good natured.
When Raistlin Majere completed his Test of High Sorcery, Par-Salian gave him possession of the Staff of Magius to assist him. Perhaps a legendary magical artifact.

Lastly, remember, when Par-Salain brought Cam back to the past, he was actually trying to save Cam, an honorable hero of the Lance. Cam had thought he was going back to save his brother, which gave him a reason to live again.
Amazingly, a Kender went through the portal too, which actually made the past able to change. And amazingly Cam was saved and turned around and saved all of Krynn with the help of Burrfoot.
