Yo, now you are not just the inspiration for unity, now I am going to copy those muscles as well 😅

Yeah Unity gets a bad rap sometimes thanks to the countless Asset Flips that exist but those only exist because Unity is such a versatile and well-supported engine that also happens to be free. The quality of a game is always going to be more dependent on their own skill more than the engine they use.

Unity is best for indies. Not many people know unity is named after their philosophy to unite many platforms. With the ability to publish to many platforms with relative ease, it allows us to maximize our potential success.

Nice, mine was the same. Still even thou Unity is bigger than what I could do even now.

Yes, I was also impressed by the Unity program in 2014.

How much do you cost if I have my project to hire you?

Me personally, it's because of Dani. Actually I got into game development because of him.

I started in 2013 :). I tried multiple engines. For me in that time unity was the best and good understandable. It was also not much big as today. Even 2d wasn't there.
But I am missing multiple sceneview editing feature. They said it is technical not possible. Unreal engine, godot and even source engine can open different prefabs, in multiple windows. So you are able to edit multiple stuff so same time. To understand what I mean.. imagine you have just a window to see UI and one window where you see your world. It is not possible. I tried to hack around and play with layers.. was not possible.

Do you have a discord server where we can ask questions? I’m trying to learn more about root motion with a 3D character. How can I have the camera follow the character without the animation driving the cameras position and rotation. And is it possible with a Mixamo walking animation?

What PC spec do you have for your task?

Same reason as me. It was the only engine with a free option. Some years later Unreal did the same thing. But Unity was the first company to embrace indie devs. Now a days not so much
