Building the Mustang That Got BANNED From SEMA

This is a 3 month documentation of the StreetHunter Designs Mustang. As most of you know, we were building this car for SEMA but were reached out by a certain auto OEM to put the production of this kit to a stop. Here’s a current update with the situation.

I now understand why Ford did what they did. The kit is far too similar to the GTD. If Street Hunter wanted to be different then this was not the direction.

How on earth no one around him questioned or even suggested the possibility of this being a slippery slop with GTD is insane. Tbh, Really did a good job making a GTD replica body kit but that actual car was a comeback for the company to make its peek and compete against other manufacturers so it was very disrespectful showing on sema. I would say it’s a good decision taken by ford.

TJ, I love ya man, your channel is awesome but this isn't right. StreetHunter literally coped Fords limited production 300k halo car they're displaying at sema to make a replica kit that anyone can put on their 50k mustang. I completely understand why Ford has taken legal action to protect its brand and customers that purchase the GTD.

I can appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into adapting and building a widebody kit for a new car. But design-wise, it’s 99% GTD with some extra vents and rivets. I’m not surprised that Ford got involved and am kinda disappointed in the lack of creative effort compared to your other projects. We know that you’re capable of cool and unique things!
