Definitely please continue this series! I’m 22 and my dad is 53, I’ve always wanted to be able to build and give him a 68 fastback for his 60th birthday/retirement. This is a way I could get that done!!

I am a fourth-grade Korean student majoring in mechanical engineering. I am planning to stay in Canada for a year to build an Eleanor based on the first generation Mustang Coupe and bring it to Korea. The budget is $50, 000. Currently I am watching a lot of restoration videos and getting motivated. Thank you for your great videos.

How does somebody who says “I won’t waste your time!” And “I’ll get right into it!” Numerous times within the first minute of the video take so long to get into the actual topic of the video 😂

I've been on the fence about doing this simply because I'm a beginner. I am now going to give it a shot

I hit a home run a year ago i found a barn find 65 2 + 2 manufacturer daye is September 18 1964 so it is one of the first few weeks of fastback production. Solid numbers matching car. C code 4 speed. The intior looks almost new. No rips no tears no cracks in dash. 10k the older gentleman i got it from didn't know the current market price or this car would have cost 30k

Im a 100% Mopar guy. But this makes me want to build fastbacks on the side to fund my Mopar projects!!

I bought my own 70 fastback about 10 to 15 years ago had a 4 speed with a good running 302 V8 had some rust on rear quarters but I replaced them done some body work and repainted it and recovered the seats new rack and pinion steering new carb new 3 wall radiator new crime bumpers . I gave $1500 for it I have about $5 or 6 k in it but it's worth that and more .

Keep it coming Scott! Interested to see your pov on converting. Agreed the FB vin’s are out of control (I’ve seen $30k for rust bucket rollers!) although we’ll see if that holds once inflation levels out again. Used autos are +40% vs last year! 🤯 Great time to build cheap and sell high

I’m going to do this, just trying to decide between mechanic school or auto collision school (my main focus is on sheet metal since I want a reliable car with a unique body)

Looking forward to this! At 22 (1977) i bought mine. Red/red 67 GT 390 4 spd. Pass everything but a gas station. Paid $1085. Yeah. Loved that car

there's a company where i live making classic broncos completely aftermarket selling for like up to 250k. These are new cars built in 2023 with no original vin. I think fastbacks will reach that point. As the market gets smaller and smaller ppl are still going to want them. Of course those broncos have the 5.0 coyote and dana 60 axles, and the complete works

I had a 67 Mustang coupe but sold it back in the 80's, I'd prefer another coup if I could find one. as I don't like the fast back.

If you can, find Mercury Cougars. Same as a Mustang, but more unique. Otherwise, this way of building a fastback makes a lot of sense.
