This is outstanding information. I have literally spent years working on some games that I now realize there might be zero demand for. I made them to learn from and because their subjects interested me...but I didn't build for the consumer. I want to continue working in game development and be in business for myself and I think this is a good place to start. Thank you again for sharing this.

When making a blog, what stops others from taking your ideas? Also, how much money does a publisher generally take out of your revenue, and what stops the publisher themselves from stealing your ideas, such as in the controversy surrounding Ketchap?

There is valuable information in this video. The downside of getting your game out there for the world to see is that there are people waiting to rip off your game. It happens way to often lately and there is nothing you can do about it. Only thing you can do is post-development marketing and maybe some teaser of your game for a bit of hype.

A very important point you brought up was that when creating a game or animation, or anything, you have to absolutely love what you do because other people will feel that energy and much success happens, this is a great video I have been enjoying the content and enthusiasm that you have! Thanks Trey! Great info on reverse engineering.
I think placing emphasis on marketing will push people to refine and improve quality as opposed to becoming Game mills to generate cash on flippa sales.

Good video, but I would argue that going after a niche is not necessarily a bad thing - as there might be less competition (if you pick the right niche!)

Can a new game only on Android get better downloads? With my current setup I am not able to release on iOS platforms.
Do you think a release on iOS has any influence on the promotional side where people talking about it on popular websites drives downloads to Android? Does Android have a stand-alone chance?
