Hope you like the new production style! Let me know what you think about it down below, and also which one of these devices you're going to purchase. What's your choice?

I've been following your channel from the start. It's cool seeing you on camera, and your production keeps getting better every new video.

I love the transparent purple, reminds me of my Gameboy color when I was a kid 💜

The screen alone makes the Miyoo the winner for me personally. OnionOS, Wi-Fi and larger batteries are cherries on top

Great video man. Exceptionally in depth review, really helped me have a better idea of what to expect of them.

I am kind of on the same boat as you. The RG35XX (even after all the tinkering) is my go to for actually playing games and have completed several games with it. Meanwhile the MM+ is more of a novelty that I check out only when updates for OnionOS come around.
Also, love the new format man! It oozes quality all around and makes it feel like you are talking to us directly instead of just shouting into the void. Especially loved the production value @ 11:13
I audibly "woah'd" when I saw that.
Keep up the awesome work dude!

The WiFi on mine works great throughout my home with a mesh network. Never had a single issue. I believe it’s on an old standard, so perhaps you have something interfering or a router that struggles with it. The older network standards actually had better range which is why they’re great options for certain products.

At this price point I would go for the cheaper one. I got the rg35xx for $15 less than I could get the miyoo. You might think it's just $15, but when the total price is around $60, that's around 25% off.

Great review! I have the Miyoo Mini+ and did have to fix screen bleeding issues due to the pressure of the battery vs the screws used on the main board. This might help for the screen pop-up issue: I replaced the round head screws of the main board with flat head screws. It helps with the battery pressure on the screen and fixed the issue. Hope this helps!

Just got my RG35XX yesterday and I love it, I have a case on the way and getting Garlic OS this week although the stock OS is cool. I’m still getting familiar with it and need to get a long HDMI cable cord as well 😊

I ended up going with RG35XX because of the slightly larger size. The miyoo was initially my first choice but it’s just too small for me I think. I’ve been loving my RG35xx, been playing OG Pokémon’s and mega man so far

I bought the RG35XX at launch and started to regret it when I found out the Miyoo Mini Plus came with WiFi. This video helped me feel better and I am more happy with my purchase. Thanks!

I have the RG353V and it's amazing. It's even better as a home retro console. Just spend an hour getting used to the features when you first get it, after that everything is second nature

I'm considering ordering a Miyoo. I was looking at both, but the Miyoo having wifi is what's pushing me towards it. I already have a Retroid Pocket 2+, and while I like it, I'm not a huge fan of it running Android. It comes off as feeling like I'm trying to emulate on an old low-end phone with an attached controller. Which I don't really like. It feels more like I'm just running files, as opposed to playing a game console. It's a similar issue I have with trying to emulate on a PC or something. I have less attachments to my saves because of it too.

My biggest reason for considering the RG35XX is simply due to it being ever-so-slightly taller. I have fairly big hands, and even using the D-Pad on my Retroid, my thumb will cramp up sometimes due to the D-Pad being way down in the bottom left. So, seeing the Miyoo has me slightly concerned that it's gonna be a bit TOO small, and it's not going to be comfortable. But, when I looked into it more, I found more reasons to want the Miyoo more than the RG35XX. The Miyoo has Wifi, it has the better OS (Onion, as opposed to Garlic on the Anbernic), it has settings for adjusting the screen color/brightness/contrast, and...in the long run, Miyoo has more of a community behind it. I dunno if the community's as big as Anbernic's seeing as Anbernic's done more than Miyoo. BUT, the community from what I've seen of the original Miyoo Mini, just seems way more into it. 3D printing/selling cases, shells, grips, stands, whatever else. Plus the updates to OnionOS and whatnot.

I also have a hard time really getting into the idea of buying an Anbernic. I'm not knocking the quality of the handhelds, but, Anbernic makes a LOT of handhelds. It really feels like they make a new one every month or two. I could buy the newest and best Anbernic handheld right now, and within a couple months there'd be a new one. It feels like they're just making everything they can to get one to stick. And I'm not a fan of that idea. Miyoo on the other hand....doesn't make a ton. And even when they do, sometimes they run out so quick that it's near impossible to get one. I'm not trying to fall into some kind of fake scarcity thing, where I'm rushing to buy one because I don't wanna miss out before they're out of stock again, but at the same time, the fact that they ARE harder to come by, mixed with them not making a ton of different handhelds anyway, and owning a Miyoo seems more 'special' almost. Like, buying one would make me a part of a community that I kinda like the idea of being a part of.

The Miyoo mini feels more premium to me. It feels more solid and shoulder buttons don’t shake. RG35XX feels a little bit better for bigger hands.
