I’m not even looking to buy a new handheld at the moment, I just like your words magic man

I know it has been said before, but I think it bears repeating: I really appreciate that your background for your videos is the drafting mat. Being able to immediately know how one device compares to another in terms of size even when they aren't on screen next to each other, uniformly across all of your videos is amazing.

I have a confession... I never grab a snack or drink when Russ tells me to.

For someone new to emulation the Miyoo Mini Plus was perfect for me. Very easy to set up, tonnes of community support, and it's so cheap you can tinker with it and not care about making a mistake. I will end up moving on to a more powerful and comfortable device at some point, but I cant recommend it enough for newbies like myself.

I still remember when I bought the RG351mp end of 2021. Your videos were vital in my decision. We all appreciate you Russ.

This is basically the perfect video for where I'm at now. I was already leaning towards the retroid 2s, but this video basically cemented it for me. "Power Hungry" perfectly describes what I'm looking for.

I'm still satisfied with my old RG351V + Steam Deck + modded 3DS core, but I love your content and how your enthusiasm shines through when you talk about these devices, your passion is infectious. Keep up the good work!

Been wanting to play retro Pokemon games from GBA and NDS. Because of this channel, I pulled the trigger on RG35XX H. Thank you so much, keep it up!

I have the OG Miyoo Mini. I love it. I do deliveries so it’s the perfect thing to play when I’m waiting for another delivery to come in. Very easy to take everywhere you go. I constantly always whip it out when I’m waiting in long lines.

I live in Brazil, so the $99 price of the Retroid suddenly becomes $200 (I’m not kidding, taxes here are something to be aware of).

The Miyoo Mini + is such a joy to use, for vertical handhelds, easily my favorite of the current bunch

The RP2S is so good in price, performance and overall quality that since August 2023 I am really struggling to find any worthy upgrade. I hope a 3:2 screen device with better performance than the RP2S and the same quality will come out: that would be a dream!

Thanks Russ! I'm buying a handheld for a friend - a vet who is stuck in the VA hospital for a couple months. He's going to have a long road to recovery as he's losing his leg from the knee down. He's no stranger to this kind of thing having already lost parts of both feet. Anyway, I wanted to get him something to help stave off his boredom but also something that wouldn't be too expensive, in case it gets stolen while he's at his many imaging and PT appointments. So I'm going to pick up a Powkiddy X55 for him and load it up with ROMs and set it up following your guides. So, thanks for your efforts here and for all the good info you put out, and thanks for indirectly helping a vet. For being a Navy guy, you're alright! I'll be sure to let him know - he's a salty old ground pounder.

I started off with the 35XX. It literally fell apart on me from general use. Switched to the Miyoo Mini/MM+. Still love those devices but they make my hands cramped. Finally I switched to the RP2SM and it's my favorite handheld so far. I even had the 405m before this and once again, a product from Anbernic was falling apart on me from normal use.

I appreciate your videos Russ, I just started on this handheld emulation hobby and I bought a RP4 pro just last week and I have no idea how to set it up and all, I just followed your videos and after a day or two I am already enjoying the device. Thank you so much for helping us with your content. 😃

In a couple of years, they are going to reach the perfection I'm looking for.

The miyoo mini was my end-game, and then they made it better when releasing the plus version. It is now perfect in every single way and I personally think nothing is ever going to beat it

Dude, thanks for the guide. As a 90's kid testing the waters on retro game emulations your video is very helpful.

Man!!! Thank you, thank you thank you!! I've been wondering about these devices for years and have been fearful of losing money on some junk. These videos are opening my eyes to a whole new world and exciting the little kid in me!!
