Why I Think RG35XX is Better than Miyoo Mini Plus ?? | Comparison

Today we are comparing two mini retro handhelds - Miyoo Mini Plus and Anbernic RG35XX. They are both good products with subtle differences and there are of course some pros and cons to each of them so without any further ado let's get into it :-)

I’ve had so many anbernic and only kept my RG350M.

I’ve just ordered miyoo mini plus just for its wifi ability, to make a Pico8 handheld 😍

For me its all about the D pad. The Miyoo mini plus is fantastic so its the one I went with. The 35xx had a narrower and taller D pad that also was stiffer. They are both fantastic options though

For me Mini Plus is just so much smaller. If it's a secondary or ultra portable device the Mini Plus wins. If you could only have one, the XX is better. But I have a Steam Deck and RP3+ as well so a super small 4:4 handheld has its place

Have both, with garlic and onion, i wasn't really concerned about the dpad issue on the RG35XX until a played Dragon Ball adventure on GBA, you just can't double dash forward or backward because of the accidental diagonals.. i have no issue at all with the dpad on my Miyoo mini plus.. But that's only an issue for me with one game i'm playing at the moment so not a deal breaker..
I love both of the devices.. even though i prefer the Mini plus just for the aesthetic and cuteness look, something very kawaii about it that the RG35XX doesn't have.. as for the comfort, they are similar to me, too small to trigger with ease the shoulder buttons..

I wanted one hand-held to do gameboy and low end consoles.
The anbernic rg35xx has no WiFi or Bluetooth which is a massive win for me!

I love the RG, and how available it is. I got mine from a drop seller on Amazon, and was able to have it arrive the same day I ordered it. Whereas with the Miyoo, they’re a lot harder to find. I also appreciate the work that’s gone into Garlic OS.

Funny thing is, I managed to get my Miyoo Mini+ from Amazon on sale for $66 recently. Seems that the price for it is slowly dropping to compete with Anbernic. As for my experience with it, after installing Onion OS on it, I've had a good experience with it. The D-pad is more precise than I anticipated, so platforming games and certain fighting games have been fun. Also, puzzle games are a breeze. The display is crisp, and even as big as my hands are, I've adjusted to the trigger buttons. While I still enjoy emulating on my Galaxy A20, the Miyoo Mini+ offers me another portable option. 🍷

The RG35XX with Garlic OS has that overclock and underclock feature that I really like. Aside from that, I'll take the Miyoo Mini Plus with Onion OS over the RG35XX any day. To me, it's all about the software. While the RG35XX will eventually have a more polished version of Batocera Lite, that's still ways away. Onion OS trumps Garlic OS in almost every way. Plus, I like the shoulder button layout of the Miyoo Mini Plus over the RG35XX.

Yo tengo la Miyoo Mini la pequeña y me he mandado a comprar la versión plus, y la prefiero por encima de la RG35XX por que se le puede instalar Koriki que es un sistema mucho mas pulido que Onion.
