If you're familiar with the GNU Emacs editor on Unix or Linux, the Freemacs editor on FreeDOS will feel very familiar to you. Freemacs tries very hard to be similar to GNU Emacs.

Very cool. Making this my DOS editor, now. :) I never knew this was a thing.

The files have to be pretty small. I tried opening a 106k ascii text file and got the error "File too large". But I could open it in Folding Editor no problem.

How to emulate two floppy drives? I need that. SEAL GUI can see one floppy, (drive A:), but there is no second floppy in SEAL explorer. QEMU tells that I have two floppy drives. Any ideas?

Without a manual and no internet access, this editor sucks for newbies. This is the kind of software that you have to learn with the manual in front of you, even for the most basic features - like exiting the program, opening and saving files. Terrible design, in my opinion.
