Thanks, it's amazing how much I've forgotten, that I once knew so well.



At one point when I was 22 I taught Korean Nuns how to use Japanese MS-DOS; I couldn't read either language, I just assumed each step and prompt was identical - and it was.

How do you mount a CD/Floppy if you don't have curl to fetch something?

hi sorry i dunno if you're still reading these but i am very confused as to how to access external drives like thumb drives and usb floppy drives every time i try to access a, b or d drives it always says,
"volume in drive d error reading from drive d: dos area : drive not ready
(a)bort, (i)gnore, (r)etry, (f)ail?"
i wanna play my classic copy of Wolfenstein i got when it was new but my pc doesn't recognize the usb floppy drive it just says the above

Hello, not sure if you're still reading these posts. I want to put FreeDOS on a USB stick, so I can run some old DOS games. Booting to my USB stick won't harm my main Windows 7 install and all my programs will it?

I installed freedos in VirtualBox - I ran fddimples, but Toy CPU isn't showing up. I downloaded toy.exe to my hard drive, but can't seem to figure out how to it on the freedos partition. I tried shared folders, but if I switch to E: drive, it isn't showing up. Any clues on how to proceed? I'd really like to play around with Toy CPU. Thanks for your hard work!

How do I update FreeDOS apps? Can I update with a CD or internet connection?

What if the zip file we download contains a ton of .IMG files? How do we install the program with that?
