This has got to be one of the nicest intros to batch files for noobs I've ever seen said some internet guy who spent the 90s living right down the hill from microsoft

I've done my custom boot sequences with autoexec.bat and config.sys and various batch files for file system management, maintenance stuff and others, so this video was really basic and I look forward for more advanced ones.

A nice tip for those who want custom messages for "pause" instead of the standard one, you can echo your own text and then use "pause > nul". The redirection to "nul" (lowercase for NUL) suppresses a command's screen output, which can be useful for other commands as well, when you want to display custom messages for other tasks.
