I dunno, the culture of "if we watch a movie that doesn't look great, maybe we'll get movies we DO want!" just seems toxic. Watch it if you're interested. Skip if you're not. And ESPECIALLY when it comes to Looney Tunes, I am MORE than happy to skip ;)

I see a lot of confusion about my Frozen 4 comment... Disney announced both Frozen 3 AND Frozen 4 as a part 1 part 2 kinda thing. Frozen 3 releases in 2027 :)

The best thing to do as a writer though is to know when something has to die whether it be a show, movies, books, etc. Though I understand that the writers and companies like Disney are kind of between a rock and a hard place, with Disney forcing them to make sequels nobody wanted.

Couldn’t agree more. There has been many good sequels in the last few years and I would’ve been really mad if people made them lose money just because "it’s a sequel" when the movie is actually really good.

The thing is, people always say that ALL sequels are bad, but some (like Bad Guys 2) look genuinely good and you can’t blame people for watching them. I wish there were more originals as well, but if all the originals will be like Wish I would much rather have sequels

I mean Disney does sometimes make good original movies once in a while like Encanto was an original movie and it became very successful, or Coco that was also a very good movie that was completely original, the only reason Wish and Strange World stick out so much is because those two movies came out during the 100th year anniversary of Disney(yes I know strange world came out in 2022 but people were still talking about how terrible it was in 2023)

Honestly, it's not a good idea for them to be making a 6th Ice Age movie. But right now, I'm kinda excited. If the trailer doesn't look TERRIBLE, I'll definitely wanna watch it in theaters. Just for the nostalgia. Unfortunately, I am part of the problem.

I agree. I feel like it should never be the audience’s fault that a movie fails. If the marketing team did a bad job with the trailer (like transformers one) I get why it wouldn’t do as well as other people hope. Even if the movie’s good.

The only way I can see Frozen 4 not failing is if they have Anna and Kristoph getting married. But that’s not the would’ve fit fine somewhere at the end of 2. He proposed, Anna became queen, but I don’t remember a wedding. But I think them getting married needs to happen in 3, not 4. 4 shouldn’t be a thing.

Ice Age could’ve died after movie 4 (in my opinion).

Toy Story could’ve stopped at 1, didn’t, and made 2 amazing. Could’ve stopped after 2, didn’t, made 3 amazing. Needed to stop at 3, didn’t, made 4 okay. Needed to stop at 4, didn’t, making 5 and pissing me off.
I’m definitely gonna see Toy Story 5 with my dad since it is one of his favorite Disney movies (only second to Lion King) but Disney needs to stop with this.

Honestly, I don't like anything big studios have put out recently, which is why I have turned to indie media. I have always preferred indie games because you know the creators actually care about the work. They're not doing it for money. They're doing it for the reason you should create anything in the first place. As long as you care enough to put countless hours into something, I promise other people will appreciate it, too. Recently I have found the same applies to indie films and shows as well. Flow was the best movie I've seen in years. And it was made by like 40 people in BLENDER. It's an absolute masterpiece. I'm not saying all big companies are bad, but I will always choose an indie piece of entertainment, as I know I will probably appreciate everything about it.

Wish doesn't look bad. It may be bad, but it doesn't look bad. I was actually super excited for it. Even made whole damn playlist of everything Wish related. Thats how damn excited I was. Because it looked good! Meanwhile I had never fate with whatever the hell Strange world was.
