Leaving work because someone misgendered you is literally a good enough reason to fire someone. Clearly they don’t prioritise their responsibilities over their ego

I'm a male. When I was around 12 I grew my hair long. One time at the mall a person standing behind me called me a she and when I turned around she realized I was a boy. She laughed and apologized. I laughed. And we moved on. I didn't care. My self esteem wasn't based on people calling me a boy or not.

I got misgendered too! I clearly told them my pronouns are Sir, Your Majesty, and Excellence. Nobody calls me that at all. This is bullsh!t.

I worked with plenty of people like her. Everyone is relieved when they don’t show up. Things have a way of going smoother without them.

In my line of work, a person who walks off the job for no reason, not only gets fired, they lose their license for abandonment. Spiral away to the welfare line.

As her boss I qould have just told her not to come back. Peoole in customer service get viciously cussed at, yelled at, and called every name in the book and we're still expected to power theough and grt our job done. No, it isnt right for workers to be treated this way, but it shouldn't be simething that sends you home for the rest of the day.
