SPIRALING?! Wait! No! I spiraled after I found out i had a genetic terminal disease. It was a downward spiral . I literally had a melt down. I went to work all week though. I was broke. Youre spiraling because…lemme guess, someone called you a female and you identify as a coffee table? Yeah. You’re not spiraling… you’re entitled.

I've been an emergency dispatcher since i was 18 and I'm now 24. For 7 years now i have gone to work for 8-16 hour shifts where i often get screamed at and berated and belittled by the people I'm doing my best to help. I don't take it personally bc I know they are in an emergency and sometimes we aren't our best selves in those moments. Instead of focusing on negative shit like this i got into the habit of finding one positive thing to take away from EVERY call i take and rn that's about 50-70 calls per 8 hour shift bc that's how you survive in a job like mine. These people don't realize how much they are dragging themselves down by choosing to focus on the negative sht. It's baffling to me that people want to focus on stuff like this. They run to social media to share the bad and totally forget the good
