What is even more sadder is that last year Susan lost her dad, this year her son and even more sadder her mom lost her husband, her grandson and her daughter. Imagine outliving your grandson and daughter, thats the worst pain you can ever feel in a life time

It’s sad that she was so hated as the CEO despite the fact that she probably was responsible for like none of YouTube’s poor decisions and was as you said just a scapegoat and a face for the brand

Susan was a marketer at heart as that was her primary focus before being CEO. She’s a large reason content creators get a cut of the advertising profits as she thought the people making the content itself deserved to be paid for their work if it being views.
No one can make decisions everyone likes all the time but I think she did pretty damn good for having to try to balance different groups.

Ok it scares me that there are "people" celebrating her death. I don't even respect Susan as a CEO, but this is still sad news. I give my condolences to her family.

I think it's sadder to think that her diagnosis with cancer was probably the biggest reason why she retired in the 1st place

I thought it was so sad that her son passed, as I myself went thru a substance abuse issue that took my life, only to be lucky enough for my mom and stepdad to find me and the ambulance to get here in time to bring me back, but I was out for several minutes, and that was the wake up call I needed. Most people, including more than half the friends I made in all the rehabs I went to, dont get that 2nd chance. But I know my mom wouldnt last long after losing me, so having just gone through that loss Im sure she didnt have much fight left in her. The reality is the children of wealthy people tend to get the worst addiction issues as there is money, free time, ease of access and oftentimes less oarental supervision as parents might be working a lot.

From my perspective... We hated how she handled YouTube... But never hated her fully as a person...
You weren't the greatest regarding being a CEO, But I hope you'll eventually find peace from the other side Susan...

I admit, she was a problematic CEO and well....I am not glorifying rich people but....I still gotta give my condolences
EDIT & TLDR: to clear things up, my politics are separated right now from what is happen and she wasn't a heinous person, and would rather be a decent human being and rational and wish condolences especially when I have lost someone myself to cancer, I can understand from the perspective
