Funnily enough I cut the lawn recently while my husband was ill and supposed to be taking it easy. I did it in about half the time he takes. Nearly destroyed a prevouslyhappy 48 year relationship. But I've learnt my lesson... never again.

I'm truly sorry to hear that. I've been married for 39 years, and my wife and I are one of those unfortunate couples who can't have children. As a way to cope, I planted a hedge decades ago that I've cared for like my own kid. But one day, while I was away on a business trip, my neighbor called to let me know that my wife was cutting the hedge. I dropped everything and flew back home, ignoring all the meetings I had lined up. When I got there, what I found was a nightmare. The hedge was cut down so short it was beyond saving… my son was gone… I'm sorry. I can't write much more right now. I'm shaking as I put this down…
