Sad news...

Hey guys, in the video I never really explained what happened to Dexter, and the truth is, we don't know. We found him on our property, and he had clearly been attacked by some other larger animal. 😔 We don't know if Dexter picked the fight and tried to get back home or if it actually happened on our property. Tough days. We really miss our buddy. 💜🐈

I know this is an old video but still wanted to comment. I so know the feeling of expecting to c a fur friend in a certain spot after their gone. We lost our beloved Abbie (15yr old yellow lab) a couple yrs ago & immediately teared up relating to your Dexter. 💔

The fact that so many comments are about us all crying (including myself) over a cat we've never met or interacted with is a testament to how special Dexter really is. And I say 'is', not 'was' purposefully. He's still special even though he's no longer with us. I know I'll miss seeing him loafing around and getting into stuff in the background of your videos and I'm sure 99% of your subscribers will too. Sending hugs.

2 and a half years later and here I am blubbering like a baby watching this video. Laura this is such a beautiful testament to your kitty and I can feel the love that you had for him. I'm so sorry that your time with him was cut short. We also lost a cat about a year and a half after getting him and he was also a very special cat. It seems as though the super special ones just aren't meant to be with us for too long, but just long enough to leave their impression on our hearts. Beautiful video, and even 2 and a half years later, I'm sorry for your loss.

I did not watch your videos back then, when Dexter was your kitty, and I came upon this video today, and it made me so sad. So sorry for your loss. We have a kitty very similar to Dexter and his name is Dillon. We rescued him several years ago and he is such a loving kitty just like Dexter was. My heart goes out to you. ♥️

I too am reading this long after Dexter left his loving home and know only Russell and Cheddar. This is such a loving tribute to the gift that was Dexter. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It always brought a smile to my face whenever I would spot Dexter in your videos, and he is truly going to be missed.
I've lost a few furry friends in my time, and I can say that there is nothing quite like losing such a loving and sweet little friend.
I think so many of us viewers feel very attached to you two and to Dexter, and his loss is felt very deeply.
