Put all of your weight on the dewalt next time

If you cock the crap out of one screw (the DeWalt) and push one harder IE the Milwaukee. You get interesting results. I don't run either so I don't care but this test seems really suspicious.

Faster dont always mean better.
I'm still rocking an old school brushed dewalt impact driver and it hasn't failed me yet 9 years later!
Yes I know brushless is better but really only for the battery. I'm just too stubborn to upgrade since my driver hasn't failed yet. And when I do "upgrade". I'm switching to ryobi for cost effective reasons and since I've been working side by side a guy who uses ryobi and I've seen with my eyes just how good they are at their price! Slowly making the transition. no regerts

I’ve had both, I got two Milwaukee fuel drivers setting in my garage now along with two Milwaukee fuel drills also and a stack of brand new batteries. Ive used my fair share of m12 fuel driver also. Just sold it. I’ve had lots dewalt. What’s my experience? Well Milwaukee definitely wins on power no doubt about it. Milwaukee wins by looks and I believe that’s what the bandwagon is all about the looks and power. This generation is all about eye candy and power.

There’s the two pros. What are the cons of Milwaukee when stacking to dewalt.

Dewalt is better waterproof.
Dewalt has longer battery life
Dewalt has more precision as far as not stripping Phillip heads and flat heads.
Dewalt does better in chemical factories.

We buy Milwaukee 1/2 fuel impacts and a couple months of use and they’re FRIED. I’ve brought home multiple that I took apart and cleaned and greased. Had luck with one… once that acid gas gets inside them they’re toast. Dewalt seems to hold up better over the long haul.

So the bandwagon of just lining two of them up and seeing which one can drive a screw faster into a piece of wood just don’t cut it for me. Fortunately it’s enough for Milwaukee to sell them but construction workers and maintenance guys know better.

And on top of that… if you’re looking for power in 1/2 stuff try ingersoll rand… they’ll blow a Milwaukee out of the park but they’ll also tear that wallet up.

You’re comparing a top-of-the-line drill to a ultra compact drill. 😂

As an electrician this means nothing to me still choose Dewalt

It's great to do such specific tests and other forms of performance and endurance trials. But it may be noted that just because a tool can drive a bolt a bit faster or even a noticeable amount quicker. It doesn't mean we should just drop our current kit for the newest tool.

I started out with a BOSCH/WÜRTH kit from my father's construction firm. And was even allowed to keep the drill in that kit. I have then on bought BOSCH. More or less because of the fact that I only got that battery system and the fact it was the one I got used too. Makita was also a good tool to lend from other workers I helped.

I'm not accusing any person but I think someone had the dewalt in speed 1 not speed 3

I get that lots of guys are putting these types of videos out to get views. But I would only in a pinch use an impact driver to put such large fasteners in. Get yourself an impact wrench for heavy duty work.

Would be nice too see which would last the longest putting those in without recharging.or if dewalt is built for longer lasting then full throttle shorter lasting.

My Dewalt XR is a badass impact driver. I always have the new Fuel one. Would be a way better comparison

I have Milwaukee and Dewalt tools, and they both work great.

Actually the harder you push on an impact driver the slower it is ! Go watch test about it. Better to just let it do its thing, alot faster for sure !!

I love the features on the dewalt. with the power stack, it's the best form factor imo.

The 850 isnt a powerhouse wat so ever. Dont know why ppl getting so upset. Its for size and weight althougb pretty chunky i can gurantee the milwaukee is heavier. Most ppl not driving these kinds of screws all day so the comfort and weight may be better for some with the dewalt

How why is the power stock with the Dewalt? What is the weights of it

Is it me or does it seem like he's putting more pressure on the Milwaukee I could be wrong but that's really what it looks like

Lol very suspect on the DeWalt lifting off screw all the time at an angle. But yeah anyways that atomic XR was made to have great torque and power in a very small package for tight areas and can take a beating. I have it and put it through the ringer. But I recommend comparing the Milwaukee to the 860 I believe it is. Those should be neck and neck.

Can’t help but notice that on both tries, the fastener driven by the 850 went way sideways which further increases the amount of force required to drive it. Either way the 850 would’ve lost but damn do I love mine.
