This is from one of my favorite things on the internet called coding sucks:

I spent a few years growing up with a closet in my bedroom. The closet had an odd design. It looked normal at first, then you walked in to do closet things, and discovered that the wall on your right gave way to an alcove, making for a handy little shelf. Then you looked up, and the wall at the back of the alcove gave way again, into a crawlspace of utter nothingness, where no light could fall and which you immediately identified as the daytime retreat for every ravenous monster you kept at bay with flashlights and stuffed animals each night.

This is what it is to learn programming. You get to know your useful tools, then you look around, and there are some handy new tools nearby and those tools show you the bottomless horror that was always right next to your bed.

Ever since i took Combinatorial Optimization Algorithm analysis ill never complain about data structures again. Doing reduction proofs and Complexity/solvability proofs made me see the eyes of god.

When I got into university I thought that we are going to study some easy things like python, but after 1 semester of studying programming in Chinese university I had to make pathfinding algorithm in C, that searcher for the most optimal way going through given point and algorithm that loops through linked list and checks what nodes contain palindrome strings. Don`t apply in Chinese universities.

-True story. Most devs I know (including myself on my junior stages) didn't remember about programming theory at all.
It's funny because I've known other people that answer those questions with ease, but the coding result is pretty much the same with guys that just don't care.

Data structures and algorithms! That class is so tough I have to retake it.

I personally love CS. Before coming to college, I got into a socket programming project and found a reference on cryptographt and coding theory. I could not understand much but I saw lot of sets, groups, algebra, etc and was so fascinatedm how this was all related bamboozled me on how far we have come. I still am learning these stuffs, since Math is hard, but, I do love it, and is reason I enjoy my student life

And tbh, Indian CSE course is a joke so : P I learn what I want

U forgot electronics and math classes as well as domain specific one's like graphics, networks and stuff

Intro, Programming, and Database Systems were all useful, fun classes for me.

Algorithms, OOP, Data Structures, and Turing Machines were all boring and I personally would never want to take them again, but o kind of understood their importance.

Then there’s Discrete Mathematics, which I find no use for and would not even wish upon my enemies.

I deeply regret no going for CS, I have 30 credits semesters of far more math intensive course on which I won't use (because CS is far more useful) in comparison to 12 credits for CS mofos... Oh did I told you CS is more useful than mechatronics?

What bothers me a lot is the advanced math they teach in our university. Like Analytical maths and numerical analysis and a few others.
