I think you CAN get hit points back when poison has been treated. So I had that wrong in the video. Just wanted to clear that up.

There's two water sources in the island. They work just like rain collectors, so you need to wait until it rains, but they have three resources necessary to make the bamboo water container and the clay water collector which are better than the basic ones. One of the water sources is in the mountain and the other is in the northeast part of the island. Also, make the improved box to store food. The improved box makes food last longer.

That is a stone spear not a bone spear. :) Also if you LMC and hold it you can power up spear for a massive hit on any animal attacks.

15:00 if you follow the shoreline to the left out of the grotto, water won't be a problem where you are. (That said you might want to take some food and palm fronds and had that way)

If you put the bed and buildables close to the entrance of the grotto you won't have trouble with the pests. (Scorpions included, always keep and eye on the bottom right when placing things)

I really like this game, yeah it’s very tough but true survival isn’t easy, so you have to look at it in that way, and I know that you like to be on top of the game all the time and this is a game you cannot always be on top of.
And Water does evaporate, in the sun most especially, but I fill my animal trough every other day because it does evaporate (Texas), and it’s a pretty big trough. Trimming the limbs in our yard and especially in the back 40 you need a reciprocal (electrical) saw or a handsaw, because it is tough, especially if they’re not dead, and even if they are dead, it’s hard to break them off. So I find the game very close to realistic except for the skunks are really honey badgers, that’s not a skunk, in no way shape or form is that a skunk. You’re gonna have a raccoon attack you long before you ever have a skunk even think about attacking you. They just don’t do that. That is really my only problem with this game lol.
I really hope when the full game is done that you start a new game and continue this, I am hoping that you continue to play this demo to as far as you can go. Thank you Kage for your time and giving it a second chance hopefully you’ll give it a third.

you have huge ancient water tank west of your base..walk beach down to second mountain where bird nest is on ground than turn east up the mountain u can walk it up there bring with u coal to map from top

There is coocking recipe that uses both eggs and breadfruit that restores 5 points of health but is it worth it since breadfruit give you quite high amount of thirst? - tip on those fruits - you should be able to find 1 or 2 on the ground near the tree
If you want better flas find bamboo and cattail - to get 2 bamboo youll need axe with 60+ durabilityt

Another Nest is in the first Cart tree. Climb the rope ladder and you see it. Easy to access and usually has a lot of eggs.

Do you know about the starfish and sea urchins? Good food!
Dive in the water near the crash site, there is a box with food in the water also.
Get it when you first land, it spoils.

Make sure to look around in the cartographer tree. I know the first tree should have a bird nest in it for extra eggs/worms/feathers. You can also make a bow to deal with snakes and chickens so you dont have to use the spear.

You have to pick the skunks up and skin them

Hold down the attack button (LMB) to power attack. You'll need to learn to use that every time for the lesser spears that do less damage and for the tankier animals. Harpoon fish are the fish on the MAP. The rocks with fish paintings are for fishing with the rod. Snakes have nothing worth looting in the demo, since the rattle is useless in the demo and there's never any meat. The skunks without meat is a bug. I've tested this. If you find several without anything on them at all, restart the game. It fixed it for me. There is a better flask, but you have to pick up bamboo to unlock it. It holds 10 water, instead of the 5 from the coconut one. The day in the game is in the Character screen, below where it explains what each perk does. It's there to track your survival points. BTW, you only get 10 survival points total in the demo. Pick up the Life Water in the cave (your first base). It doesn't take up a regular inventory slot. Only the other potions do. Don't worry about wasting food. You'll get more.

Hey Kage I've been playing this a lot too, bit of a love/hate relationship so far, but hopefully the dev(s) will balance the game out in time. Dude, charge your attack, hold it in the red and then release when the attacking animal is close and you get extra stopping power! Cheers bro!

Kage, if/when water and time balance is worked on I'm looking forward to seeing how good the building aspect will be once it's unlocked. If the building is good and balancing is done do you "think" this game could be a contender for Green Hell? Thank you for playing more as I'm learning a lot!

Sorry I forgot to ask if you know wether or not does the fountain of youth/living water/special flasks that you find get rid of the missing/red hit point restriction when you drink them? If so do you you have to be full health/food/water for it to work I wonder.

22:30 If it doesn't give hit points back, sleep for 1 hour, after that sleep for as long as he needs to heal up.
