So basically an Alternator was converted to a PMG (permanent magnet generator) with no output voltage or frequency control . As the 9V battery voltage drops from running the motor the motor rpms will slow down reducing the output frequency and voltage (Volts per Hertz ) .
The light bulbs being a resistive load aren't dependent on frequency like an AC motor or transformer would be.
This is not some electrical break through as some posting seem to think .

You should try to plugging the wire from the motor into the socket, so it can power its self up. If it don't start, just spin the belt, so it can start conducting.

I built a water reservoir to drive a turbine connected to a generator which drove a motor with a fan on it pointed at a wind turbine which directly operated a mechanical pump to lift the water back into the reservoir. The water went green and smelly after a while and mum made me chuck it in the bin. Good times.

You can also without battery, just use the AC motor and plug it into the power outlet.

Shut the main breaker off and plug the wires into the house and back feed the power and see if it Powers everything

If or when an alternator will start to produce electricity it would inevitably heated up. And as a result the hot glue can be melted or at least softened.
