If your income is only $1200 per month you will get a refund of the income tax withheld because in 2022 the basic personal amount was $14, 398 meaning only amounts above that are subject to tax. This amount is inflation adjusted every year. I haven't heard volggers mention that maybe they just don't know that. You do have to file an income tax return to get the refund.

You can only work 20 hrs per week OFF-CAMPUS . You're allowed to work unlimited hours on campus.
