I would have preferred for my doctor to wait to tell me. I would want to enjoy my vacation especially if it was terminal.

If she hadn't got that pneumonia, I bet that woman would have been glad the doctor didn't tell her so she was able to enjoy that cruise. However I understand it should have been the patient's choice and she had the right to know it, but come on, the doctor did it from best place and he obviously would have never though she would die

My doctor waited to tell me I had cancer. He absolutely adored me, so he needed a few days to process the news before he gave me the diagnosis. I don’t blame him at all and it makes me respect him even more for the amount of compassion he had for his patients. He recently retired and I miss him greatly.

I agree with both. It was a bad decision, yet I felt like it was a good decision somehow so she could enjoy something.

he should have told her. Maybe she wanted to say goodbye to her family, make things right with certain people in her life before she goes, make a will or find new homes for her animals (for example).

When you have cancer, you can easily get sick. And things as simple as a cold can be detrimental to a cancer patient. He should have told her, she might still be here if he had. She could've taken extra precautions on her trip if she had known.

I appreciate his though. But it wasnt his decision to make. He is professionaly obligated to tell his pts.

He did a good thing, she was dying anyway and prone to anything fatal. What is wrong with her family! Trying to get a profit out of this situation now!?

She would have not Enjoyed her Trip worrying about and stressing her out, If he knows his Patients well he knows how they might over think or Anexity Issues.   Live it up until the end!!    Some people just cant live waiting for News and Results they over React..

I think he actually cares about his patients instead of going by the book. I think it wasn’t a bad thing

It's TOTALLY WRONG! this trip might have meant nothing to her compared to spending her last days on earth with her loved ones, you can't know that and it's Not anyone's decision to make.

I'd want them to tell someone in my family so they could watch over me.

I think the doc should have asked her if she had a health care surrogate and told them.

Understand both sides. But family could had that time together. So I understand to certain degree. But this ends up difcult day. But Dr's keep shit all the time.Or not paying attenchen. I found to get my test results read results ask Dr personally so I am told known . my mom was haveing severe back pain. They never told her She had extra vertebra that was causeing crowding in the spine( if she had not had to get the mri herself for 3rd back Dr she even had a back surgery and was not told! Before seeing a new back surgon. She was glancing at radiologist findings. Talked about how she had extra vertebra and causeing crowding. So it's. Not right
