I'm glad this is the Doctor acknowledging the skills of her nurses. Nurses deserve a lot more respect than what they get.

Itโ€™s so nice that sheโ€™s saying this as a doctor and not as a nurse itโ€™s so meaningful seeing health workers stick up for each other ๐Ÿฅฐ

Really wish people would know that NURSES do most of this kind of stuff. They know what theyโ€™re doing, they went to years worth of school to be there.

My dad's a doctor and this is so true. While he's an excellent doctor, he literally takes a step back and hands over the syringes to the nurses ๐Ÿ˜‚

People need to realise that doctors and nurses specialise in completely different things expecting that a doctor can do it all and a nurse is incompetent is incredibly wrong

I've commented this same thing on a similar video. I'm an anesthesiologist, i.e. a venous access expert, so believe me when I tell you: LET THE NURSE DO IT. You'll save us all a lot of blood sweat and tears ๐Ÿ˜…

My anesthesiologist refused to let the nurse try until she failed 7 times on me. I was so angry and crying from how bad it hurt. ALWAYS LET NURSES TRY FIRST

My mom was an OB nurse and she always joked about how the doctors would just come โ€œcatch the babiesโ€ after many many hours of the nurses doing literally everything and then many times only the doctor really got any thanks or acknowledgement. She wasnโ€™t actually offended by this, like I said she would joke about it, but it still made me sad for nurses in general.

I wish people understood that doctors and nurses are similar yet totally different jobs.

When my wife was going through nursing school .i was her test subject in doing shots, iv or drawing blood . one day after about 2weeks of her practices on my arm my supervisor asked me if i had a drug problem our insurance coverage cover rehab.

When my wife had our child the nurse literally did everything. The doctor while did a great job in making the early call for the C-section only came in once every 30 mins and had a look. Nurses are a blessing.

I have had exactly one doctor ever place an IV for me, and it was because his only nurse was out that day but I needed contrast for a test he was running. When I say I barely felt it - that man had hands like silk. Later he said it was the first one he did since his residency ๐Ÿ˜… but he did a killer job!

I always put so much trust into my nurses, I'm always nervous when the doctor comes in and the nurse always reassures me its gonna be okay. Love yall ๐Ÿ™Œ

This is why I never say i want someone specific, because as long as they are qualified and trained for this, I'm fine with it ๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™m in vet med and I always feel this way when people say they only want the vet to trim their dogโ€™s toenails. Please, that vet hasnโ€™t picked up clippers since they entered vet school, let the vet techs who do it all day do it. I say this as a current vet student!

There are a few docs who can put in access: an anesthesiologist, a surgeon who does central lines & the IR/surgeon/team who places PICC lines. For a regular IV, you want the nurse.

KristenRowenPliske
ะะฒั‚ะพั€

The exception of a doctor who IS VERY GOOD: Anesthesiologist! Masters of central lines, IVโ€™s, and way more!
I donโ€™t specifically ask for the anesthesiologist to place my IV for procedures.... but Iโ€™m such a hard person to get an IV into... that after multiple people they HAVE TO get the Anesthesiologist Doctor to place my IV. They get it right every time!

Just be honest and tell them that while trained it, the nurse does it consistently everyday. Give a nurse some props
