I watched Maxx's playthrough... It was nuts in his final episode he went from struggling with some 9* missions to pretty much being invincible in a matter of like 45 minutes with some items he got... Watching someone become a godby chapter 4 is going to be awesome...

For M4-5-6 I found some tips online and decided to go with:

Quake (VERY important)
Status Ward (also extremely important)
Hell Firaga (must have)
Darkness (optional, tbh)

For gear I used Wizard Bracelet and Blaze Armlet for stacked MP increase and more fire HP absorption. You could remove Blaze Armlet for something else if you prefer, but both did great work for me.

For ME, Quake was an excellent way to attack everyone in the cluster (hope they begin close together) and stun lock them as the attack is super quick and affects a decently large area. They’re stunned for about a second or so, giving time to use an ether and replinish MP so you don't run out.

Status Ward + Hell Firaga meant that if I got hit with Firaga I HEALED without having to worry about healing myself and lose precious time attacking and using ethers.

Just know that energy and the melee attacks are instant kills with this loadout. I found that dodging didn't help me much because I could lose sight of the enemy (you could target lock, but other enemies could be in other areas ready to shoot you with Death Missile or Energy, or run up and beat you to death.

My BEST advice is to practice IMMEDIATELY hitting the whole group with Quake to stun lock once or twice, then use an ether quickly as possible and keep using Quake until they all fall. You should also soon do a quicker alternate of Quake, Ether, Quake, Ether soon in order to slowly max out Ether and use Quake maybe a few more times before replenishing with another Ether. Keep it up until they all fall. Stay close to them. Don't let them attack, don't let up.

There’s a chance a lone enemy might start out further away, or move far enough away from the group, and they can kill you in a number of ways. Hell Firaga, imo, did not do enough damage as an attack on them. I mostly needed it for healing alongside Status Ward.

Goes without saying, but exploit DMW as SOON as it pops up, no matter what it is or what level. Every bit helps.

Even if using it right away, Wall often takes too long to activate and they’ve already killed you by the time it’s on.

Stun and attack until they're finished.

Tips for people like me who suck at video games:

* When you start really struggling with the missions, you can move on into chapter 3 just until you get the SOLDIER first class armor with the extra two materia. It won't wreck the general progression.
* For most stages, you can run diagonally into the walls to avoid triggering random battles. You can use this to run straight to the boss fight and not use any resources (like your free phoenix down!) in the process. This won't avoid bridge battles, unfortunately.
* If you're REALLY struggling, you can load up on MP/AP in 1-1-1 by hanging out until you trigger limit breaks. This will at most double your MP/AP pools.

I followed this guide to an extent, up until where you needed to fuse darkness materia with SP Master. To those who're watching this, you get SP Master as a steal from the Abyss Worm in missions 9-6-1 and 9-6-3 and its a rare steal. So if you're going for that materia, make sure you have the Steal (or Mug) Materia equipped alongside the Mog Amulet to steal them from the worm. When I went up against Minerva, I had both Genji Helm and Gloves, Ziedrich and Adaman Bangle. As for materia, I had mastered High Jump and Magic Punch for damaging her, mastered Steal to steal 99 Phoenix Downs from her. Wall with 999% HP, Darkness with 999% HP and another Darkness with 100% Vit. With my level at 81 (farming demons for darkness materia), my Vit was at 255 with the equipped darkness, so her flash slash and photon feathers attacks didn't one shot me; but her other attacks like krysta or thor's hammer still one shot; but a well timed dodge roll or a well time high jump pretty much nulled those out. Same with Ultima, dodging that became easy after dealing with enemies that spammed the hell out of it in other missions. Magic Punch was my heavy hitter attack and was only used when an opening presented itself (or when the DMW rolled 111 for invincibility or anything that nulled damage). Overall it took me a few tries but I was able to beat her and get the Divine Slayer.

Just wanted to say thanks for this guide. I just beat Minerva today. Took about roughly 7-10 mins. Followed everything to the letter but the sp farm. I had about 3 million when I fought her, and 6 mil in gil. End of fight I had no sp and 1 mil gil. Worth the grind.

Hehehe I just defeated Minerva in chapter 3 following your guide to a tee. Except capping SP, I thought I'd throw wall up and make a go of it first before attempting that SP grind. Lost 6M gil out of the 15M I took into the fight. Fair trade for Divine Slayer I think. Just want to say a big thank you dude for showing me the way, keep making awesome content 😁

Man, MASSIVE video like always.
Done Minerva yesterday whit similar stuff, on chapter 3 too, costly punch for damage, no SP materia, and gill toss only for break her limit, and after an 1 Hour and 50 of combat finally beated her.

I literally started the game and I was getting clapped. I followed all your mission guide, suggestions and farming. I breeze through the storyline with no issues.

Been grinding the pots since 10 AM. It's 6 PM right now and I've gotten Shinra Beta+ x1, Royal Crown x1, Gold Rolling Pin x1, a few iron and titanium bangles, and 1 carbon bangle.
After another hour and a half, I got the kaiser knuckles. I guess I'll be killing enemies for gil then.

You can get the tonberry stuck on the wall on PC. Just gotta do it the other way around. Plus it's out of range to hit you with karma.

So someone said this in a comment on another vid but the easiest was to do the magic pot farm is the first battle after acquiring magic pot. You are guaranteed to get the summon. If it's not the x5 rolling pins just hit forfeit and retry the battle. You can do at least 10 retries in 15-20 min.

Eh…may as well go for this while I wait for Rebirth. Nice video, man. Your commitment to the grind is commendable.

Primal still love your vids dude, the time and dedication you put into every one of them is insane. The Tonberry is not a PS5 exclusive luckily for me as it works on my XBOX Series X. Poor guy is super glued to the floor. Just out of curiosity though, how long did it take you to get your 5 rolling pins? So far 3 hours in, I have 1 pin.

So this is probably a stupid question but with the Magic Pot can you use Graviga or do it Have to be Gravity? Similarly the same question but with Assault Twister+ to Assault Twister?

Just unlocked the Wutai Shop, but now it feels like all the next missions are way too difficult to complete at this level. Hell Blizzaga is nice and all, but the MP cost is huge and I don't want to burn all my ethers and elixirs trying to take down one Vajradhara

just following this guide... how do you jump to 4K HP? I'm getting one-shotted by every enemy in every mission. And why do you suggest Gravity and Poison, when every mission boss is immune to it?

Nice video
Just wondering what you actually do with the mag +100 do you status ward them like you say or keep them darkness+100 like the video shows?

Other then that everything is clear
Oh and you don’t mention how to get tri-fire but that’s easy to google

There's an area to the left of the Tonberry here where you can get them stuck as well, but they can skill Karma you... but if you're playing a patched out version, I think that's a very good alternative, unfortunately it can still Karma you.

Out of curiosity is there a quicker way to up my chance of getting shinra beta plus or is it just praying to the rng gods?
