Marrying the wrong person and putting up with gaslighting, dishonesty, disrespect. If someone does not value you, leave. Life is too short.

I paused the video, reached out to TSU and set up an appointment to talk with someone to register to earn MBA. I’m 61 years old. That’s been a lifelong goal.

"Success usually comes to those who are too busy looking for it." - What most people see at a glance wealth, a great career, purpose- is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life..

Great site.
I am 54 right now and still learn a lot. With struggling and difficulties it took me 40 years to change my mindset somewhat clearer and just recently try to live by
"Don't be Don't be afraid of chasing my dreams, Don't be afraid to live, Don't be afraid to overcome... and put those 3 words to every situation I'm in.

The guy who wanted to be an actor shouldn't be too hard on himself. It's not spoken about, but a lot of actors come from wealthy families that support them and provide a safety net. I wanted to go to art school, but couldn't because I had to work to survive at 18. I now paint in my spare time, and have even sold some and get commissions too. When I retire I plan on finally going to art school, as I won't have to work anymore.

The guy in Central Park I don't look at as a cautionary tale. He probably got a job as a quick fix and his life, for whatever reason, started nudging him away from acting. I remember being in a similar situation in my early 30s where I'd just graduated from grad school, I'd been looking for a job for a little over a year and everyone was trying to convince me that I needed to be practical and look for something back home. But I held out and ended up finding a job in another city, six-figure salary and was hiring quickly. The experience taught me that sometimes it pays to be stubborn about what I wanted and not let how others view my situation sway what I know is right.

Awesomeness. I seen lots of your videos. This one's so good that I actually played it at 75% to slow it down so it would sink in. Hey, better late than never. I'm 68!

I feel like we all do get caught up in the social pressures and the rat race. But if you can.. I feel like you should at least have some side quest in life even if you are still doing the 9 to 5 like the guy in Central Park. Acting auditions will always be open. And hey.. maybe that side quest opens up things for you. If we are still living and breathing and still can function in a healthy way why not keep trying for the thing that’s been calling for you. Anyway.. I’m turning 34 in a couple weeks. Hope my future self can come back to this and be proud of how far I’ve come. Never give up.

I was a kindergarten teacher which I loved, but the stress was way too much for me to handle. I only taught three years before I moved on.

I’ve been watching your videos for about a year now and I just want to thank you 🙏🏼 In the western world we take many things for granted. I was born & raised in San José, CA and was very very angry for over a decade because of how expensive things have gotten. I finally decided to leave my hometown and move a little over an hour away. My gf, 7 year old son and I bought our first home and although it’s a huge responsibility and scary.. we value a home. We don’t give an F about what cars are in our driveway or what latest and greatest amenities we can get. We just want a place we can call home! 🏡 My gf and I did “some college” but ultimately found out that we both don’t like school lol And that’s ok! We are totally comfortable with ourselves and don’t mind telling people we didn’t get a degree! Our son is a bad ass and started his new school and made new friends the first week! We are so proud of him. For me, family is #1. Spending time with family, friends and being in the present moment is what I truly value. Money comes, money goes. It’s a tool. Gotta know how to use it or it’ll use you. Also.. alone time is great! Learn to have fun during your down time. Even if you’re bored!

All I ever wanted was a happy family and good marriage. God granted my wish. I was happy to work a tough corporate job to make my dream come true.

I used to answer 'My Husband' for what makes me happy. However, he dumped me some times ago😢 I then found out later that he is a narcisstist.

The hardest thing I found was learning to live alone with myself. I suggest you do this before you get married or anything else. You need to be able to like who you are and fix the things you are not, but know you should. Don't wait until you are in your declining years to be able to accept/like yourself, accept solitude and be strong regardless. This isn't for the feint of heart.. If you do this young (live alone for a few years) your marriage will thank you for it.

Such valuable insights! The wisdom shared by older generations is often overlooked, but this video highlights some incredibly powerful lessons. It’s a great reminder to appreciate time, embrace simplicity, and live with purpose. Thank you for sharing these life-changing perspectives—I’ll definitely carry them with me!

That guy who wanted to be an actor might not have failed due to social pressure. Maybe he failed because he wasn’t talented enough! So he should keep banging his head? I’m not so sure. Just consider all the opportunities, all the pros and cons with each of them, and make your best choice. I’m not thrilled with what I did. But I have a wonderful retirement in great health, a clear conscience, a wonderful wife, a house paid for, and investments for the future. Nothing is perfect. But life can be fulfilling by making the best choices available to you. If you have a failed marriage, that’s not the end of the world. I had that. I moved on. I found someone much better. Sometimes we make mistakes. So, learn and move on! Life is great!
