Watch 5-Year-Old Girl Save Mom from Drowning After Having Seizure in Pool

Tracy Anderwald has her young daughter to thank for saving her life. 5-year-old Allison jumped into the pool to rescue her from drowning after having a seizure. The whole thing was caught on security footage. Watch as Allison dove into the water then used her strength to push her mother to the shallow end of the pool. Allison then turned her mom over and ran inside for help. Allison, a bit shy for the cameras after this heroic act learned to swim at age two. #InsideEdition

I’m 71 years old now but when I was 12 I was drowning in a pool. I was walking across the pool didn’t know that in the middle it went deep. A 12 year old boy jumped in and saved me. I thought that was amazing at 12 years old. This little girl at 5 years old. Wow. She deserves a medal. ❤️🥰💜

A classmate of mine, in the 5th or 6th grade dove into the pool at their apartment and saved a small child. We were all very impressed when the fire department came to our school to give him a bravery award. I’m 66 and will never forget that boy.

The number of things this 5 year old girl had to do correctly in a matter of seconds to be able to save her mom, and she did each step perfectly. As if it was her destiny to perform this miracle.

Excellent instincts. She clearly had some idea what she was doing. Man, to have the presence of mind at that age not just to recognize the situation, but to leap immediately into action, then act on a plan. I wish I could be that clearheaded in a crisis. What a great little heroine.

It's truly incredible that she went to recover her mom and flip her over before getting help. Those extra seconds if the mom was still breathing on her own could have really saved her mom's life.
