I used to crank this up to 11 back in the day. I finally realized that my then young son was terrified by it, and so I then reluctantly began to scale back the volume. My now-grown son has never forgiven me for the period of time when I used to blast it.

When I was younger I really wanted to watch a movie at like 2 in the morning, so I snuck downstairs and put something in the DVD drive and waited for it to load up, of course this was at the beginning, and of course my Dad had just installed surround fucking sound and it was the scariest moment of my life. I was shitting myself because there was sound from all around me, I was blasting this beast of a sound effect, and my parents started sprinting down the stairs.
