Explanation:
time required to complete first 30 km - 30 / 60-0.5 hours - 30 minutes
time required to complete next 30 km - 30 / 40-0.75 hours - 45 minutes
total time = 30 + 45-75 minutes

OR
since the car travelled same distance in both halves, average velocity ( 2 * 60 * 40 ) / ( 60 + 40 ) = 48km / h total distance - 60 km
total time = 60 / 48-1.25 hours = 75 minutes
