CD/DVD Drive Is Not Detected in Windows 10

Solution: Optical Disk Drive is not recognized after Windows 10 Upgrade!. DVD Drive not Found in Windows 10! - SOLVED.

Works on PCs and laptops by he followinf brands Dell, ASUS, TOSHIBA, alienware, msi, asus, acer, lenovo, razer, HP.

No entries are visible like ata channels. till IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers is visible after that nothing like what you showing

Good guide. My old IDE ATA133 interface DVDRW drive recently failed so I replaced it with a SATA connection DVDRW, sure enough it would not show up at all! Right clicking and removing all the 0 and 1 entries with mandatory reboot and I can see and use the new DVDRW now thank you.

I cant find any entries named ATA Channel 0 & 1, is funny you did this video for more than 5 yrs from now windows 10 could come up with updates from then.

This worked for me I run windows ten and previously have three hard drives also installed . I disconnected two of them, one from USB/and one from MB only one running was main HD that has windows installed. Then I followed these instructions and rebooted . Sure enough my dvd/cd drive was detected now. In addition reconnected everything and it is still showing, Will see later on down the road but for now I am having a banner day. I also got my desktop to finally use a wireless connection, but that is another story . Have a good day

Thank you. Worked fine. I did it while watching your video. I'd pause your video on each step. I uninstalled all ata 0's and 1's, before rebooting. There it was!!

ATA ATA controllers is not there on my windows 10 it should be right above keyboards but its not it says human interface devices. i thought this video would be the winning video for me augh....

Well as usual I came to the part where I found Standard SATA AHCI Controller but then thats it, no ghost pictures with circles and ATA Channels inside on my device manager...just plane simple Standard SATA AHCI Controller and thats it. Deleting last didnt bring anythink M Dive still not recognised, I guess "MS" is more comfortable by spying our data from non movable memory parts so let just ban the disks from the systems...any other logical explanation?

What if my laptop sees my dvd and I can controll it by laptop but dvd dosent want to play the dvd dosent eaven tries to Play ?

No ATA Channels are listed on mine. So your troubleshooting didn't work.
