Geez, dude. Pretty cavalier asking the general public to edit their registry. Where's the "how to recover your registry" .. since you didn't advise any backing up.

i watched someone else's 4 fixes video that didn't work and returned to watch it again and your four fixes (the 1st one) were different and i believe my computer is fixed. i have to restart computer but even if it doesn't work, you provided me with something i could do. thanks.

dude deleting the upperfilters and lowerfilters registry key and restarting the computer after that for me it runs into a bsod and then goes to automatic repair mode and i cant get rid of it i had to reset my pc

That third option helped. I did not have a lower filters entry. But I deleted the gearaspiwdm entry - that's been causing issues off and ona while now. But my BD drive works and all now. Thank you!!

Excellent and helpful video. The Upper and Lower filter removal step solved my DVD problem!! I never would have known otherwise how to fix it. Thanks so very much!

My DVD rom never recognizes my computer unless I unplug the usb end in the back of my dvd rom and plug it back in, then it recognizes.
I did your steps but none of them worked.
Seems no one makes DVD roms anymore that are compatible with Windows 11, or 10 for that matter.

Hey Microsoft, believe it or not, there are some people out there that still use DVD roms today, not everyone streams their videos online! Especially older folks like me!
