Thank you so much my dude!!

I bought the RPi 4 4gb with the intention of setting up a media server for my home. I first tried the straight-up Linux on the 64-bit Full which is what someone else recommended on a video.

Anyway I gave up on trying to make it work after a few days because it was too hard and too many problems appeared that weren't mentioned in any videos anywhere and needed to be troubleshot individually.

YOUR METHOD IS NOT ONLY EASY, IT WAS SUPER QUICK, AND IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!

I did one thing differently though. I added the OS to an SD card. Still works super smoothly.

It runs 4k on my TV just fine and didn't seem to lag or lose any frames.

THANK YOU!!

Man, oh man. I have been struggling to get jellyfin working on my RSP4. I would always get the transcoder error. Your way is far more than easy and useful. THANK YOU 🙏

Connected a HDD to the Pi4, CasaOS sees that drive, which is NTFS. But JellyFin isn't seeing it when I choose to setup a library. So how do you get Jellyfin to see the drive? If I setup Jellyfin in Windows instead of the Pi, Jellyfin sees it just fine.

If we have to access the content outside of our LAN, we have to do port forwarding and use our public ip to access it right?

It would help if you actually told people that the board has to be set to boot from usb first. took me HOURS to find the cause for it not working with only the SSD plugged in. Bit of a waste of time. You could have taken 5 seconds to mention it in your video or in the description.

Can an external SSD be powered by a Raspberry Pi, or does it require separate power? I've never used a Raspberry Pi before and just ordered a Raspberry Pi 4 from AliExpress.

It does not support H.265 and the micro sd is low speed, which would be solved with a hard disk but working with H264.
